yeah it's not that bad.. the worst part is working around the exhaust manifold area where you have to get the motor mounts off.. you have like an inch of clearance to wiggle the socket to get the stock manifold off then you have to position the turbo correctly while tightening it down in that orientation.. other then that.. not much. rest is clamps, mounting the intercooler is no biggie, and doing the wiring. it is time consuming, thats about it.

it's easy if you have all the tools and small hands, like benny...or kel...
you can drive it as long as you are in the base map , as long as you don't abuse it..

Yes, finally turbo that bitch.
If cobb doesnt give the race tuner for free i might still have it lying around on my old hard drive.
Still interceptor x kicks cobbs ***. no one uses it because it expensive and not readily available.
You can drive the car out of boost forever as long as you keep the stock injectors which im assuming you are.
The rx8s stock ecu is pretty beast it will compensate for the extra air while out of boost

even before that (probably when you got it Abdul) racetuner only generated map's for the model year and emissions class of that specific car.. maybe if both you and rx8ya had the same year rx8 and emissions type (ca/federal) it would work.

I would highly recommend the AP. No aftermarket ecu (reasonably priced @ <$5,000) is going to be better then the stock ECU at doing it's job. Getting it tuned is going to be different obviously (due to availability of licensed tuners), but once the tune is solid and you flash it - you're done. You don't have to worry about compensating for weather or changing pressure since the stock ecu has trims for that. Additionally, you're car will still be emissions compliant and you won't get a CEL. Plus there's alot to be said about a car that tries to remain as stock/clean as possible when you're doing something like this. GL dude.

to get access to download racetuner now, it will be tied to the serial # of the accessport and you have to actually give them an explanation of what you will use it for and then they will get back to you with a dl link if they authorize it.

well neither of them bought there cars in cali, so the odds are there not california stye emmisions. year to year unless theres major changes like the brand new model, each year is exactly the same PCM wise, all cars would cost ferrari prices if manufacturers changed things every year, and parts would be 10x more then what they are
so unless the AP does a vin check with the PCM, it will work just fine
