Karting in MAGP (Delaware)
Ok so there's some interest within TNC and the Queens guys of doing a go-kart thing at this place in DE at Mid Atlantic Grand Prix. I've been there about 5 times already (all but one of them were unlimited runs) and it's always been fun. It's waaaay better than V17- you get gas-powered karts, tracks are properly wide and there's plenty of action in the corners.. it's a great track to do lots of stupid heroic moves lol.
We've done the Dragon, Bear Mt., or the pancake run lol.. but we're never able to push our cars to the limits because ummm we don't wanna have premature deaths or bang up our beauties lol.. track days are gonna be the same too.. for initial d and japanese racing vids- that means we can't really "battle".. I've always wanted to know who the real drivers are
We're shooting for either next Tuesday or Wednesday (they have unlim. days every Tue/Wed). It's $50 for the unlim. races and $25 for yearly membership. Normally a race is about $18 each, so the unlim. days are a bargain.. I've done 13-15 races in just one of those.
It's a bit over 2 hours for the trip. My thinking is to leave the city before 3pm and get there by 5, which is when the unlim. runs begin until they close shop at 10pm. We can bunch up in a few cars, depending how many go to cut down on fuel.
Let me know who is up for it and if you prefer the Tue. or Wed.! If this first one goes well, we can go every month or something.

^ I just emailed both GPNY and MAGP about group pricing and track rental. Will let you know what I get out of that. I have a feeling that GPNY will be ridiculously expensive because they have a full venue there good for big parties, not just a gokart track. MAGP is very straightforward so that is possibly a good option.
