Anybody have any idea if you can pull an tow an rx8 backwards up a hill by the tow hitch if its in neutral? I want to try and start my flooded car its been sitting for something like 2 months since it flooded and its parked at the top of my dads huge hill so i figure the pop it in gear trick would be easiest but i need to make sure i can get it back up safely if it doesnt work.

Tow it by the front wheels, NOT the rear. i.e., front wheels will be touching the ground and rolling, rear wheels in the air.

You could but not sure why you wouldn't tow it back up the normal way? By the way Ken is it flooded worse then what we started last time? I highly doubt that..!

In that case, the only tow hook that can be used is the one in the front in the grill. DO NOT use the rear tow hook to tow the car...especially up a hill! That is just a tie down hook.

Normal prices today dawg. Actually, maybe we should do starbucks in Edgewater. I'm sure alot of cars will make it out today. Either way, I feel like we should do something.

I think you can tow with the car in neutral in any direction in a manual car. This is a no no for auto transmissions I think.

WOW 2 POSTS IN A ROW!

The pedal trick is how Al and i mostly AL brought it back to life last time. I think my front intercooler blocks my tow hook in the front. I was going to tow it with a truck not necessarily a tow truck. I guess ill try regular deflood for a bit first.

im gonna say weak battery. I actually disconnect my battery when i think its going to be sitting longer then 24 hrs becuase i have a parasitic drain that i never found. So the day before it flooded i was driving it left it over night without disconnecting it, then in the am was like i bet its dead opening it up cranked it over let it go for 30 seconds to a minute and shut it down..............DUMB. Next time i tried i think combo of weak battery and well when you disconnect it resets fuel trims and dumps fuel screwed me over.

Ray. I have these 4 plastic spacers from BHR I have to give you. You need them to mount the kit. Let's meet up this weekend. We can swap wires etc.
