Ill admit that id love alot more hp than 300 but i feel as though **** is going to break alot faster and why do that, i want to enjoy the car for as long as possible, and if it breaks i fix it but i dont want to be shooting myself in the foot.
Realistically i will probably only get reliability mods/ exhaust/intake/coilovers/rims/shine kit/diffuser.
Realistically i will probably only bring it to the track a handful of times, and the rest of the time it will be garaged / sunday driven to meets /being brought back to life for meets
im probably too far gone by now anyway. and hey, maybe the 16X will be more reliable and ill drop that bitch in.
mine was 10k mildly modded with expensive parts. ive seen them go for 8-10k multiple times. dont even bother with a roller unless u have a garage. it will be atleast a year project car and if you arent mechanically inclined u are just asking to pony up a **** ton of cash. also get AAA.

Looking for some input.
1. types of sections within a forum you would like to see.
2. If you were looking to categorize different Tuners/ Shops would you do it via region (location) the car mfg or would you do it by Car MFG then region 9 location?

ive always liked the red interior (40th anniversary has spoiled me) but id swap out everything except seats and door panels, everything else can be black.
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=953506
I hate stereos in the trunk and 17inch aftermarket wheels blah. plus hella expensive compared to those others

i hope rx7's will be around and not complete junk

Dont worry man... once you have the cash the'll be a lot less to choose from. Right now you want them all cause theres no budget.
But when u got 16k.... You wont even bother to look at FD's less than that.... or vise versa
Just snoop around 7club > 3rd gen section.
There's always people doing some crazy stuff.

LOTUUUUUUSSSSS!!!
Eric, the thing that worries me is that you talk about the money you have like you aren't getting anymore in. If this is true, I can already tell you that you are screwed. The first thing you need to do on your car is the reliability mods, (people will disagree with me here) a full refresh of small parts. This is assuming your motor is good and has coolant seals that will last. If I were you, I'd go the route Dave did with his FD and go non-seq and simplify everything. I'd stay away from the cosmetic stuff for now until you get more of a feel for what FD ownership is like. Once you know what it feels like to have your FD **** you in the *** then you can think about other stuff. There are alotta sore hineys around if you haven't noticed. Probably non more sore than Benny hahahaha.
I'd hate to say it but for a guy in your situation, an LS swap might not be a bad idea. It'll be more like your 8 in terms of your car randomly deciding it wants more money spent on it.

lol, probably since i dont have a set of MY tools in your car..............
yet were always waiting for the little red 8 of yours ;-)
Its sore from your **** probing!! lsx is a terrible idea for someone who hasnt owned a 7. thats basically someone buying a car, and just pouring money into it before they even get to drive it. the only reason why us idiots keep going back to the 7 is because we know the joy it "can" bring. if we never experienced that there is noooooooo way any of us could justify spending that much loot on these cars...
Eric- I think you need to do more research. An rx7 is a whole different ball game from any other car. Judging from your posts, they seem very unrealistic. At first you claim its going to be strictly a track car and now its going to be a weekend car with the occasional track use? then you said youre gonna do xxxx mods and they got shorter and shorted when you became more realistic.
you either need A- A steady flow of money (aka a Job that pays.) B- Willingness to get your hands dirt, tools, and knowledge to work on your car.
most the 7 owners are either A- then start to become B since they cost of maintaining these cars is a huge money pit. I have no money. so i have to manage by doing everything myself. you need the tools and space to do that. If you dont fall under either of these categories, you will have a 95% chance of having a VERY hard time with a 7.
Have you ever modified another car before?
Do you know the cost of a rebuild? bushings? motor mount? oil pan gasket/brace + labor? these are things you dont take into account till you have to do them. regardless of HP, these cars are old. My mom tells me im an idiot all the time for giving up the "new" 8 or old pos 7. the 7 is a great car, but it IS a project car. 90% are project cars. the other 10% have already been restored. have you been in an average 7? i hope you dont expect the comfort of a new car from a 7 without more then 5g worth of work.
Ask any of us. 5g will not last you a year. you fix one thing another thing breaks. that 5g is about the average we spend a year on these cars between slightly modding and mostly fixing what is broken or on its way out.

The swap doesn't cost that much when you look at it in the long term and with the money he has, he can do it right away.

i really dont know what i want from it at this point, its just hypotheticals. i have garage workspace and dont mind doing stuff myself, just going to take me some time to figure stuff out, and this doesnt really bother me.
right now im a college student so i dont have alot of free time especially enough for a good paying job. I dont expect it to be a walk in the park and i guess thats what makes it a project car. In my first post yeah, those are the mods that i want done eventually, sneaky repairs will take precedence.
personally, i love learning how to do new things and i think working on my car will be a great experience. I dont have a steady cash flow but im not going to tinkle my pants if the car isnt fixed in a few months, i have a daily so thats not really a problem either.
And yes i heard the twin seq does give alot of headaches, i was considering single but i dont want something too large that takes a long time to spool and i dont want to run high boost either.
Ive been reading 7club for 3 years now and i still dont know enough. i THINK the hardest part of my fd ownership is figuring out what is wrong..and then paying for it
I appreciate all of your guys advice

No dyno sheet. I don't remember the numbers but I estimated above 320rwhp. I say estimated because Enzo's dyno is a heartbreaker. He uses a mainline dyno from Australia and those give the lowest numbers. Enzo thinks 25% is a fair boost for a generous dyno. I think I gave my self less than 20% I dunno. I'll find out again soon enough since I want to tune on boost juice now. After that I may head to speed1 to dyno there and shoot the ****.

having two rotaries feels like having 2 girl friends, and both of them are pregnant. you have to do the feeding for both and support for both which will grow more...
about the turbo, it's all depending on turbos you are choosing...some turbos spool fast, but it's not as fast as twin, but at least by 3.5k or 4k rpm..that's pretty early for single turbo...but twin i believe spools around 2k? or 2.5k..
besides, you are still student and not having enough job to support both cars...wait till you get a better job, and you can have 2 rotaries and a hoopty..lol...
but anyway, it's just an advice...good luck with everything..

i wanna start by saying i love you guys lol
as for your talk benny...damn that was just spot on lol its like you were reading my mind lol
ive done the math a little while back, i bought my car "done for the PO" for 13.5k a little high i no but times were better and it did have some nice mods, but including car i spent around 26k total for everything, and thats WITH NO LABOR except for the engine rebuild. 1187 for the rebuild 2k for the parts for said rebuild 650 for the diff, IC kit, spare trans, intake, ect ect ect
hell i cant even remember some of the stuff i spent money on that car, 360whp and the thing still breaks on me
btw ben im shooting for around 450whp on high boost, im picking up a beater soon so i think this things gonna be mostly for weekends and track duty..id like to finally get some coilovers and some wheels...eventually i gotta replace my spoiler since it broke too
anybody know a good company that sells universal intercoolers? im looking for a specific size, dont really care about the end tank placement since ill be modifying it anyways
