I plan on doing a calander of event for this season so we know ahead of time who plans on doing what. Bringing some organization to this thing we call T.N.C. really looking forward to this season. DGRR is looking tight for me but I have not given up hope as yet.
I think I have to pass on DGRR
. I'm going to cancel my reservation at Nantahalla by this week if I feel like Dave isn't making enough progress on my car. Anyone want a room at the lodge?

I forget. I think the weekend and that extra day. It should definitely cover all of the event.
No the LS isn't finished
.
The replica needs a new motor and turbos.

it is the fact of it....
...both rx7 are down....i think he needs to get another one...
..put some HONDA engine into it..
andy, sorry to hear that man...that's the reason why i never get 2 rotary cars, rx7 or rx8..because not alot of ppl can take care of them...even if there is, the person will be loaded with work...
if you just wanna do an engine swap, you should have used my mechanic...
fast and reliable
good luck with everything..

stink,
so who tune your turbo? how could you be safe into boost if you don't tune it? unless you have a base tune for greddy, and it must running reach and it's not safe at all..if it's just base tune, it just make the car run ...

My LS2 car is at speed1. I've already have Dave doing some mods on it. Unfortunately, to finish the mods, the swap has to be done first

^^THIS is why 99% of rx7 that go down, are down for years. the owner puts it down for one thing, gets the itis and wants to make a 93-94 car as minty as a 2012, dumps 20g+ never drives their car, broke, wife leaves them, looses their house, has nothing but a 30k+ paper weight that doesnt work and they havent driven in years BUT everything is shiny

Nah Benny. I only added to the list because Dave said it was ok and it wouldn't slow him down. I thought I was slowing him down anyway but in the end, he didn't really start or he did very minor things. The mods I'm doing aren't power mods anyway. I think the only real major one that might take extra time is installing an oil baffle. To be honest, I'm not to upset about it. Having Susan at speed1 is awesome. This will sound sarcastic but I'm dead serious. At least I know I'm getting fucked (in terms of time) instead of just guessing and finding out the hard way. As bad as this situation sounds, I'm actually really happy with the communication.
Also come on guys. That is not why 99% of Rx7s are down. If that were true, we would have mint condition rollers everywhere. Rx7s go down because people don't know what they are getting themselves into. That is the truth. How many really well done cars do you see that aren't functioning? None that I can think of. Even though I'm not supposed to be driving mine, my replica is in better mechanical than most FDs out on the road.

no the truth is these cars are really pieces of ****, how is it that every other car from its time can reliably make 500+ hp with only worrying about maybe snapping axles, where we have to worry about EVERYTHING going wrong at 350hp
beauty makes people do stupid things i suppose

Rx7s aren't shitty man. The great thing about Rx7s is that you don't have to make 500+hp to be fast and in stock form, they last a decent amount time. I think we do have to mod alot to get reliable power though. That definitely sucks. At the very least though, you take some of those cars that makes 500+hp and you can try to make it handle as well as an Rx7 and you would be spending even more money and you might not even make that happen.

they can have half as shitty handling but they would finish the race
and their engines would be good all season long
hows ur SR andy? those turbos hold up real well huh?
do you know what r23 and r33 GTR's use as reliable bolt in upgrades for stock turbos? a boost controller

My SR is meeeh. My turbos have shaft play but that's what you get when you cheap out. I admit, I cheaped out here and I knew the risks. Same thing with the motor. The motor is a crappy JDM pull that happened to have great compression. I rolled the dice. No rebuild was done. In the end, I can only blame myself and I certainly won't complain and say that rotarys are crappy. They can be fragile and expensive to play with but they have their other benefits as well. I mean if you really think our cars are crappy, sell it man.
That's fantastic. You can also get alot of power out of a Civic for super cheap. So what? It doesn't mean that rotarys are crappy does it?
I'm not sure if this one is aimed at me but I'll bite? I drove the crap out my car when I first got it. After I got the car tuned and modded the way I want I drove the crap out of it again. I never worried about the car breaking down after my last modding sessions. I did stop driving it after some problems came up but, well, I took a gamble and lost and I'm not gonna cry about it I'm gonna get it fixed.
