Hit a deer - Need a good bodyshop in Northern Bergen Co
Hi guys... I hit a deer on RT 17 with my 2008 40th Anneversery RX-8. Can anyone reccommend a very good body shop in Northern NJ or Souther Rockalnd County? I want someone who can fix it correctly. Front Right corner needs to be repair, may also need to be aligned.
Let me know your reccomendations... My insurance Co in NJ Manafactures, will file claim tomorrow.

when it happened i did go back, i told them just as it happened as dules would no as well since he was with me when it happened
i was driving, suddenly the car wouldnt idle and had horrible vaccum and sounded similar to heavy porting with very lumpy low rpms
just as my s4 did when the rear rotor exploded
the following day i babied the car to irp, who told me it was a chipped seal, i said **** to myself, decided i would pull it and talk to everyone about were the best place to go for a rebuild was, which everyone said was kdr, so i took the 2 hour drive in my moms malibu to see for myself, spoke with him, liked how he talked and what he had to say and decided he would look at it
we tore it apart together, looked at everything and he told me the engine was fine, however due to the shop we all know and love that built the engine, acosta, reused most of the seals, it was going to blow shorty by bad coolant rings
so i had it done, deleted everything and anything that had to do with emissions and the sequential system....which is kinda funny since that JUST costed me 1500 bucks...haha.....and never looked back....with no isses with the engine since
and andy im not pissed at irp, nore will i actually badmouth them past just simply telling my story
i just wont tell people to go their either
and you can ask anyone whose every asked me for a referal, i just simply tell them which shops are available to them, which of course are, IRP, JPR and speed1 and let them decide by themselves
with specialty shops you will never get a perfect experience, and if you think so you are a fool...you just have to choose the lesser of the demons and bite the bullet
or do it yourself

update on my season so far:
1. no rims (riding on stock is a little fun though, as far as burnouts go)
2. old lady backs into my 8 and wrecks my new bumper
3. passed inspection though as one of the most illegal 8's I know.
by the way Pool is ready for BBQ meet.

To make them accountable and see what they will do to make it up to you. If a shop makes mistakes and no one gives them feedback, they will keep making mistakes and they won't improve. There are conditions where you wouldn't want them to work on the car again (like if the shop is obviously terrible) but I don't think this is the case here.
Telling people what shops are out there is great but if you have first hand experience and someone asked you what shops are out there, I think they want to hear what you have to say and let them decide what to do with what you told them.
I don't think anything deal with automotives will have anything close to a perfect experience but it doesn't mean you have to bend over either. IMO, if a shop screws something up, you tell them about it and give them a chance to try to make it right. If you have a good or bad experience, you post honest feedback about it so others can learn about the shop. If we don't do this, shops continue doing what they do and nothing changes. I mean look at this thread already. People are going to read the info you posted and they will be able to make an even more informed decision. The only thing that would have made it better is if you spoke to IRP about what happened and how they responded.

Damn Dennis,
That hurts. I was trying to be optomistic too.
give Ito a call @ advanced rotary performance. he seems to be rebuilding motors every weekend. watched him do it once, i think he could do it in his sleep.

lol ... did you ever fix your wastegate? Let's rebuild it ourselves .... i think TNC has enough know-how
(I assisted a rebuild myself, and feel pretty confident)
This is what I did today

it wasnt a miss spell lol
Judge Ito is who i was referring too
and dennis, as much as it sucks, you cant really be that upset, you lasted the longest out of all of us, and with what you knew about your engine, you were kinda past due
but anyways, enjoy the wonderful fun of picking an engine builder...though from what ive read, it seems like its getting harder and harder to get good seals, id actually talk to brian about what he would recommend on that part, hes always trying new things and comparing
actually, come to think of it why not have him build ur engine if he has the time, hes the only OCD person i know that would make it magically put out 600hp on 12psi
