Need new windshield
Well, I live in Alexandria and drove my new car to Florida for the weekend and on the way back just outside Manassas a rock flew up and hit my windshield. It chiped it a little bit but now it has a crack and the crack is growing. Its spreading up my windshield. So I gues now I need a new windshield. So what I am asking if anyone else has had to deal with this and where did they go and how much did it cost. I am new to the area and don't know where to go. If anyone can help please let me know.
---Thanks

Start with your Mazda dealer. I had to have a windshield replaced on my Saab several years ago and the dealer took care of it. And your insurance should cover glass replacement from a rock. Banner Glass in Bethesda is good.
Other than the rock incident, how was the drive to Florida? How long did you take? What speeds did you go? Did you use cruise control? What kind of mileage did you get?
Thx for the info. MM

The drive was nice. Went to tampa. It took 14 hours there with a 2 hour nap. The drive back took 18 hours but I was stuck in some major traffic in Florida. My gas mileage was about 18 miles per gallon, So I guess I need to get my ecu reflashed. Also, got the same milage when driving around Tampa. I averaged about 75 the whole way(9 to 10) over speed limit the whole time. Used cruise control for most of the drive except in high traffic areas. It was nice getting out of th cold for a bit. Temp was late 60's and low 70's during the day then mid 30's at night. Had alot of fun.

Brown's Fairfax Mazda
Sorry to read about your windshield. You may want to consider Brown's Fairfax Mazda in Fairfax. I go there each time I have issues with my car. They are very customer service oriented.
Their telephone number is 703-385-8170
Good Luck and Welcome to Virginia.
