New England Spring Run 2008
Now that I have actually seen snow in the air, and a small amount of accumulation on my front lawn (which thankfully melted within 1 day), I have only one question on my mind . . . . .
When can we start planning and looking forward to New England Spring Run 2008?
My wife and I would be thrilled with a similar route to last year. Those Adirondack State Park roads ROCKED, and we'll know to avoid Lincoln Gap this year! If anyone wants to start from scratch and even try a coastal Maine route, or a White Mountain New Hapmshire route (Warning, heavily patrolled) we would be happy to help plot the course.
Lets start getting some ideas! BTW, the title New England Spring Run is by tradition only . . . ALL are welcome.

I'm up for it.
Traded in my Black 04 RX-8 on a new Stormy Blue 07 - never considered a different car.
If the roads lead my way I would love to do lunch at my house again - hopefully it will be better weather this time for pictures.

I was amazed that you put on that lunch and then managed to leave for the rest of the drive . . . you sure you want to do that again?

In again fo'sho! Those roads kicked *** - and I'll have some new rubber when spring rolls around.
I don't know the roads up there well enough to help plan routes, but I'll do what I can to help in other ways.
Trying to avoid cleaning puke out of the 8 this year?

We're up for it, definitely! Last year was a blast! Personally, my favorite place in the whole world is the beach, so a ride up the coast might be nice. We'll go anywhere, though, as long as we can DRIVE, DRIVE, DRIVE!

Count me in! In about March 2006, there was a group that did a coastal run that started at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire and continued into Maine. It was great fun, and I'd be in favor of another coastal run of some kind. We're expecting 6-12" of white stuff tomorrow afternoon into the overnight, so I need something good to keep me happy!!!

End of May, again?? Based on my computer calendar the dates are May 23 & 24 and the last weekend is 30 & 31.
IIRC, there's some conflict either way with college grads & then Memorial Day, right?
I've got a graduation to go to, but I think it's early May. Then a trip to NC for another family gig, not sure when.

I'll be organizing another Cape Cod run in the spring time.
Here's the fall run for newbies. https://www.rx8club.com/ne-rx-8-forum-29/rx-8-cape-cod-run-125648/

I vote for the weekend of the 23rd, with a stay in Lake Placid again. The rates were very reasonable, and the wide open well maintained roads of Adirondack Park are probably better than anything else to be found.

I am down for this again. That is of course if you will let me,and either the weezing banana,or my lean green machine to join in with the fun. I am sure I was holding back some of the 8 drivers, but with the poor weather it probably slowed us down a lot so I could hang. CTRX-8 you will be happy to get a baby-sitter,as my wife, and I were very happy we did. I had such a blast, and it was great meeting you guys last spring. Getting a weekend away from the cherubs would be welcome again even if it was in bad weather.

I'm definately interested in this too guys, I did a few "mini" runs down here in charlotte, but I grew up hiking and camping the adirondacks, its one of my favorite places to drive period! if I can convince my old man to go with me, he knows some AWESOME back roads we can tour!
