whoa, Yoda looks scary there, like a mix between a gremlin and chucky. You would figure they should make better stuff than that in NY considering the really realistic Bolex watches and Movado knock-offs. You'd never know the next thing they sell maybe a RC car that looks like a mix between an Evo and STi, scary!

I'll try to make it Friday night too- things seem to be calmer now, and I don't have anywhere to be. BTW, WAWA has gas for $1.75 a gal for premium as well, now.

Hi guys! I've been wanting to get together with some 8 owners around central VA for a while. I'm up in Frederdicksburg. You guys have a regular meet in Short Pump? I met MMMDowning a couple of weeks ago at the dealership in town. He has also expressed an interest in meeting-up.

Its at Shortpump Mall, we do have a designated parking area behind Dicks sporting goods.

But, I may not be there this week. My car is undergoing tranny-surgery as we speak.

Don't know when I will get it back. I haven't heard anything yet.

I will be there this Friday, and I'm always excited to see more rx8's. Yeah it's at the short pump mall and people usually start showing at around 7:30-8pm.

We usually park in the same area near a store called Dick's Sporting Goods. A bunch of car enthusiasts just hang out and talk about anything car or non car related, it's usually good fun. We have people showing with rx8's, WRX's, STI's, Evo's, 350Z's, Porsches, S2000, to Corolla's. Sometimes we get a couple of FC's and FD's as well. Lately it's been dominated by the Subarus and Evo crowd.

People usually congregate outside of Starbucks in the mall depending on weather. We stay there and chill for a little while, and then poeple usually go elsewhere to hang out afterwards as well.

I always get somewhat paranoid when we all leave the mall as a group. A line of sports cars leaving together and driving down broad sure does attract tons of attention. Doesn't help that some of the cars are modded and some rev their engines to let the others hear there exhaust. It's cool though.

Hey Rever, I thought you decided to forget about having the tranny worked on? Hmmm I sure hope they do a good job and have the problem fixed without causing a disaster. Anyway I'll be praying for/with you.

Dragonfruit. Well. worse comes to worse they mess something up and they swap it out for a new tranny. Check your email. I talked to VinnyNumber about building that three rotar this summer. He said he is down. Should be fun. We are going to scrounge for canidates for engine removal this weekend. You down?

Let us know, we need to get at least 4 12A engines for the project. Reason being, so we have spare rotars for the project. 13b blocks would be too big also.. We are going to get our boy to machine a E shaft. This is turning out to be fun!

Kewl. You know me I love taking/cutting stuff apart and putting it back together. Taking engines apart will be my first though, so I'll be on the steep end of the learning curve. We should get someone to video tape this whole project.

Yeah, the meet is at the far parking lot between Dick's and Funnybone comedy. We will be either in/out of Starbucks or out near the food court patio. If it’s raining we will be in the food court far corner.

This meet is for all car enthusiast so if you have friends with different cars bring them along too. This meet started off as a Subaru meet but grown into a car "enthusiast" meet now.

OoO you're going to build a 3-rotor!! Sounds like fun! Maybe you guys would let me tag a long a few times when you're working so I can see how the insides of a car work?

We would like too! We could use as much imput as possible though. Hanzo said the project may be doomed cuz we wouldn't be able to get a E shaft fabricated to be able to handle the 3 rotar. I am still hyped up cuz, it would be realy fun to see if we can do it or not. Of course their wouldbe easier projects but, haveing a 3 rotar 12A engine would be soooooooo stinking cool.

And of course your are always welcome to come along!

I thought you were talking about making a Quad rotor. There is triple rotor engine exist like in the Cosmos. Rebuilding one of those would be more possible. But finding a triple rotor would be hard as well.

Yup...yeah, the quad rotar would be impossible. But, a three rotar 12a engine is very possible. But, you are right the E Shaft would be difficult. But, if we could find a 20b Engine we could possible use its E shaft..but I wouldn't want to break that down.. I would keep that as is.... 20B is awsome as is.

So if any of you guys has have any imput that would be cool!

Want a 20B? ~3K plus shipping from Florida.

A 20B e-shaft isn't going to work using 12A parts...the rotor/housing is too narrow compared with the 13B derived 20B.

The intake ports on a stock 20B are massive compared with the 13B-REW and 13BT...not so much over the 13B-RE (2 rotor cosmo).

You can get a used 20B for ~3K plus freight shipping ~150-300 depending on which coast it's coming from. Then what's this going into? Add a new transmission, driveshaft, mounts, move the radiator up a tad, electronics, la-di-da...it starts to add up...

Good note, I finally have all the parts I need for my clutch, I was waiting on the pilot bearing seal and the master/slave hydraulic hose to show up...I was going to do the hydraulics over the weekend, but that didn't pan out due to shipping from CA. You want to know why it failed (the clutch)? The clutch was never fully engaging due to the TO bearing riding on the PP fingers...DOH! I guess I got so used to the feel of the pedal, I didn't think anything was wrong till it was slipping already...it took driving someone else's car :D to realize that my pedal feel wasn't right at all...adjusted it and it feels 100x better, but it's still slipping. Live and learn.

Jo, I was wating for you to chime in. We could definatly use you on the project. I don't have your email so I couldn't CC you on the convo. So do you think a 3 rotar 12A can happen?

Tell me when you go install your clutch, I want to check that out.

Hahah, thats funny..it took a drive of a STI to realize your clutch wasn't engageing.

My car is still in the shop. Its been there since Monday..with no word. So thats never good. So I guess there may be a real issue with my tranny. Hopefully I will find out by the end of the day.

I would want a 20B engine.

I knew we would have to use the 12A becuase of the size. The 13B block is too big. You can get a 3 Rotar 12 A in a FD or FC body. ( I have seen it done before thats why I want to do it bad)

Did they remove the blender or any of the crushed ice?

Really, did they find the cause of your noise and hard shifting to reverse? Or did they pull it out, say "Yup, it's a transmission" and put it back?

My service writer said they didn't find anything wrong initialy...but they don't want to actuly crack it opean and look at the gears. So..he said that he was doing something...what I won't know untill I talk to the mechanic myself. But, he said he was going to do something.

So..I will find out friday.
