Delta V is a shop that does a lot of japanese car modification/repair. The meet's are still at short pump, but if you guys ever need to switch locations delta v is available. So, as far as I know, meet's are still at Short Pump.

Sooo...anyone want to give me a hand today? I'll have the car in the garage to change the clutch, some help would be appreciated. Let me know and I can pick up some beer/food!

Gimme a page at 2045443 if you want to stop by and I can give you directions to mapquest.

I'm in northern chesterfield, maybe 10 minutes from 288&360, or about 10-12 minutes from southside speedway.

My computer that I've built is having some issues...I can't say I trust it. It's shutting down randomly (well restarting), so I get to try a slew of different hardware to see what's going on.

More work today, I stopped yesterday after discovering that the dealership had stripped one of my bellhousing -> engine bolts. Had to goto sears to get something to grab the bolt. :superpissedoffjoe:

:p Typical!

Got the transmission out and the flywheel nut (the 54mm giant) off, but now the flywheel doesn't want to come loose... :o

Transmission is in!

Took about 3 hours, then about 15 minutes after I had the bright idea of propping the front of the engine up slightly to angle it back so the tranny input shaft would slide in more easily. Knowledge is a bitch.

Glad you're finally done.

BTW guys I won't be at the meet this weekend, going to Canada to watch F1 racing.

Update (copied from the RX7club.com forum due to laziness )

Finished the clutch finally (yes it takes me forever to do anything right...but the right tools would have shaved two days off).

All I can say is hooooooooooly ****. I really have to force myself not to go WOT and over 4K...

Hows the new clutch grab? ******* quick! First start it didn't want to go thru the gears even in neutral, adjusted the pedal play and that was fixed. Took it for a spin. Stalled once in the driveway. Stalled about a mile down the road...then that was it...shifting took a whopping 10 shifts to get used to, going to still adapt as I go along as far as starts go. It's grabbing about 1cm off the floorboard! (I'm used to it grabbing 3/4 the way up).

While I was down there, I found a reason why the underside of my car was messy (4 wire sensor, less than hand tight), fixed that.

Big ol **** eating grin

Well, if my memory is working, they've been 1/2 for every odd number race! This one is an even :D

Didn't know you follow F1. I hope BAR or Renaul win this race. Sick of the red car winning.

BAR could have done better the last time hadn't someone nailed the side of a ferrari...he was doing good up till that incident.

I've been watching it for most of this season, I dig it! :D

Sweet, we actually watch it live every race so far this year so if you would like to join us I will send you email on the viewing.

Too bad Sato's engine blew up but I like his style, not afraid of the scarlet car.

PS. PM me your email.
