New SCCA Motorsports Track in MASS Proposal
Well, NE AutoX'ers it looks like people are finally reacting to the minimal places to race in New England. This new SCCA track sounds pretty amazing with a large AutoX course and road course.

Needless to say, the locals shot it down because of "noise pollution". God forbid they get some revenue in that part of the state. Friggin' clowns.
Oh well. The Mass thing is still in discussion, so I won't get my hopes up. My fingers are crossed though. The problem is that when average people think of motorsports, they think NASCAR and dirt oval track racing, and pickups and white trash. This area of New England is very uptight about that sort of thing. I don't blame them, but if these guys can prove that this SCCA track is NOT what they are imagining, it should go through.

Found some info on comscc.org a local car club that does HPDE, according to one of the threads over there the Planing board in Palmer voted 5-0 to approve the plan. The track plan now just needs the approval of the State MEPA (Mass Environmental Protection Act)
