Newtown Square PA

There's a Sunlight Silver '8 out here that I saw today, and it's Totalled. Not like some of the "oh it got hit" pictures on here. I mean gone, front axle's gone, nose gone. Ll kinds of body damage. I was wondering if the driver was ok, and if it's not too touchy what the hell happened, since the car looks like it got hit a few times.

Well, it isn't mine. I'm near Newtown Square. Where did you see it? Just after it happened or in a lot somewhere?

in a lot if you're heading towards philly on route 3, you'll pass the YBH audi and VW and it's in a body repair lot, it's seriously F***ed up, I think only the rear axle is still on the car, I doubt it's solid from the look of it

Damn, I'll have to take a look, I work in Malvern and cross Rte.3 on Providence Road. I'll check it out. Doesn't sound like it is anyone who frequents this site though. Wild part is that I've only seen one other Silver around Delaware County.

yeah just down the hill from you. It's bad though, like that car HAD to have rolled. I was trying to find the owner, maybe try and scavange some parts for my '8. I need a new rim at the very least.

from the front not really you have to know where to look to see the crest in the hood it's easy to see it from the back even when flying by doing 96 at 530 in the morning

there was a totaled sunlight silver at the marple newtown high school during prom week. they always have a wrecked car there to warn kids about drinking a driving. i believe it's the same car cause it looks like the car rolled over. i was gonna park my sunlight silver next to it and take a picture but it's really nothing to brag about. another fallen silver. hope the driver and passengers were ok. how many people around the broomall/newtown square area?

I've seen maybe two silvers, one on route three near the K&G Speed shop. The other in Radnor, they can afford to get another one if it's the Radnor one I saw, if they're not one in the same. I haven't heard anything about a recent deadly crash in the news so I'm guessing everyone's ok.

Speed is correct, I stopped to look at the 8 last Friday night. There is a sign behind the car on the auto body shop from MADD/SADD. The sign says that there were four in the vehicle. The 8 is marked as a biohazard, I looked inside appears to be blood on the driver's seat. Not much left of the car, looks like it was rolled (possibly even end over from the looks of the front and back ends). All airbags deployed, one wheel missing other three torn up. I don't think that there is much of anything to salvage. Only thing that I hope is that the people in it were OK.

I'm in Havertown, work in Malvern in the Great Valley Corp. Center. There's a red, a blue and a titanium around GVCC as well. You may see me around on Rte. 3. Silver 6sp with a Zoom Zoom decal on the windshield, that'd be me.

You should look into the Tri-State Club, having a meet this weekend on Saturday in the Princeton area. Unfortunately, I'm out of town this weekend and really busy through Memorial Day (lots of proposals I'm working on for work). Keep me updated though.

I am from Brookhaven and would be interested in a Deleware county meet. It seems like there is enough of us around.

I live in Broomall. I don't have an 8 (just a protege owner) but i plan on getting one when i graduate.

I have see a red 8 on RT. 320 every few days.

I would be up for a small meet. I'll talk to the guys in my Mazda group from the tri-state area. www.mazdateam.org is the site for our forum if you care to check it out. We are having a fun run this weekend in Yardley, i wont be able to make it because of finals though.

Also, if anyone is interested, i know of a weekly muscle car meet in the area. changes locations every time. last weekend it was at K&G, which im sure you guys have seen them there once in awhile. anyone cares to come along on friday, just let me know. not sure if any rotaries will be there but there are some awesome muscle cars.

Do any of you know any mechanics in the Delco area that are experienced with RX-8s? I've have a continuing problem with a SSV shutter valve and now warm start failures that no one at the dealer has been able to fix or even diagnose. I'm not nearly experienced enough to trust myself working on the car.

Any tips would help, thanks.
