Hey vwnh, hate to see you out there all by yourself... but might be a bit early w/such nice weather like we're having... burrrr w/open windows... plus I'm still getting outfitted for the season w/new mods... and have yet to order new tires.... plus BMW club is having one a couple weeks later for $55 less (I know you're a dedicated SCDA'er - but I like to track w/all the dif clubs - variety, spice of life, and all that)
I may end up coming... just too early to tell I guess. Wonder where any others of last years crew are ? Kinda erie in here...lots of ... ...
Make a wish for more 65-70 deg + sunny days I guess!

Sorry to hear that you were under the weather Spin.
First run was a little slick, but the rain held off till the end of the day, with a little shower. Track dryed out pretty fast. NO RX 8's Had a great time, got to work on my lines and heel toe shifting. I will post some pictures this week.
997 Porsche, 2 Maserati Coupe, lost count of Lotus Elise's, and 3 Ferrari's

He did hit the wall and he did have an instrutor with him. It was a little slippery on that run, don't know how he did it. front fender hood and radiator was leaking all over. Towed off the track for the rest of the day.

Ok, I promise my winter hibernation is officially OVER!!! I just gave Roger a call in fact to catch up. How is everyone?
I'm probably not making it out to the track until mid-late June. I'm having MAJOR mechanical issues most likely brought on by the coilover install. Most likely I'll be going back to stock shocks + Espelir Springs for track season because its bulletproof and stable. Also having some weird electrical problems (power to car randomly shutting off for split seconds under hard driving) that i need to get looked into. If anyone knows a good perf shop in new england let me know.
Otherwise I'll see you peeps on the track in late June!

Late June nooooooo...... you gotta give them repair gerbles some Red Bull and get your lil car out there short of 9 weeks . There may be a tech day coming up soon... many hands make short work of big problems (old Chinese proverb) . We'll talk.

That's not the next NHIS event, that's the next SCDA event
May 4 - BMW-CCA ($180)
May 8 - NE Porsche Club (I'll be there $140)
May 15-16 - Audi Club ($360)
plus likely others as well (I believe all above still open)

Hot ticket vwnh, that would be great if you could drop by! Here's were they put "poor nubie Mazda student amonst Porsches" me. I'm in group 2 of 6 (not really --> who cares).
We'll see what transpires, I've asked for an instructor to come along, should be a blast, and I'll get it all in spinCAM HD for posterities sake.

Where did that happen? Coming down the hill after turn 9? That looked nasty, the car was almost completely sideways before he even hit the turn. Three cheers for Quattro!!

Alrighty, car is going into the shop on Wednesday. I've done some research and I think i might be having a grounding issue. I'm going to remove my ground kit and see what happens. If I can get this electrical issue fixed. I MIGHT be on the track for a mid may track day. We'll see.
