Nordic green at Brown's Mazda/Fairfax

Anybody out there going to pick up a Nordic Green in Fairfax today?

I happened to see it there, and they won't let me touch it (which is the right thing to do.)

I just want to sit in it, pretty please!!

Seriously, any RX-8 owners in the Fairfax area that pickup their cars, I will buy you lunch for a good look at it. Email me at thecman@techma.com.

Thanks!

Hi beaner,

Its 11:10pm (eastern time) right now. What time did you see RX8 at Brown's Fairfax Mazda? Where was it parked?

Thanks.

Sorry fellas, but the green one home with me around 5pm Saturday. I had to beat the sales guys off with a stick, they were itchin' to crawl inside. A couple of guys had them on order but have to wait until all other preorders got filled. I think a couple of them tearred up when I left.
We had it out front for a few minutes with all the doors open, and nearly stopped traffic. The guys there told me that I was the first one in NoVa to take one home, although I think the W.Post had one out from another local dealership testing it for an article this Sunday (USA today had a small article in todays issue). It handles like a dream and the green is sharper than I imagined.
I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance.

ZoomZoomH...when and where is the protege meet...I also own a Protege, and would like to show up (especially if we can convince Dagster to bring his RX-8.)

Do you guys have a website? You can email me directly at thecman@techma.com.

PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, Dagster bring your Rx-8 to the Protege meet. Or maybe can you bring it to the Mazda Sports club tech session at Browns in Alexandria.

My father-in-law really wants to see one, and he will only be in town next week through the weekend. We might get lucky at the dealership, but chances are most owners will pickup their cars quick like you did.

I almost hung out at Brown's until you picked up your car, (I was there right before 3:00) but I figured this was your new car pickup experience and you didn't need a bunch of people hanging around to gum it up.

Ah ha...the big H...

I am bean3422...I think you and I single handedly posted on the rx-8 forum on Edmunds.

The bean name is a very long story, and not very interesting.

Well, I will try and make it saturday, thanks for the website.

See ya..

Talking

I've posted some pics here:

http://www.mindspring.com/~dagster/Pics/

but I've also attached a mean looking teaser. I don't know how the tail-lights lit up that way. The lights were off and no one in the car, ...the flash maybe. In these pics it definetly has a blueish look, but in direct light the metallic green really sparkles.

Anyway, I'm definitely going to get to the tech session Wednesday night at Brown's Alexandria if anyone wants to take a look. I might be able to make the Protege meet Sat. morning, but would have to be gone before noon. Post some more location details, and I'll let you know.

Dagster - sweeeet!

I'm supposed to get mine (grand touring green, no nav) some time in August from Congressional Mazda... here's hoping they don't jack the price.

Did you get MSRP or better?

I have to help a friend move on Saturday (last minute thing) so I won't be able to make the Protege event.

However, I will do my best to make it to the tech session (as a guest).

Thanks Dagster, you are being very brave to bring it Wednesday. (Too many rabid Rx-8 fans lurking about.)
