NOVA people - Where do you get your 8 serviced?
#2
I take mine to the Brown's Mazda near the intersection of 50 and 123, two of their master mechanics, Glenn and Alfredo (the only ones I let do work on my 8), do awesome work. I'm actually going to be dropping off my 8 on the 5th for a clutch job. Also, as far as I know they don't mind doing work on mazdas with aftermarket parts. Mine is only slightly modified (intake, AP pulley, soon a stage 1 SPEC clutch, and AF short shifter), but I've seen and heard plenty with non OEM parts.

Good to hear!
I just had my first visit there on 31st, to get an oil change. It was a very nice place. Free coffee and you can play some Gran Turismo (I think thats what is was) with the force feedback steering wheels. The people in the sales area were nice to and didn't attack me while I was wandering around looking at all the 09 models. One guy talked to me for a bit about the 8 and that was that.
Its also like 5 minutes from where I work.
I'll have to remember those two names if I ever need real work done.

Awesome to hear! the Gran Turismo sounds like a new addition...it used to just be on either ESPN, NBC, or the weather channel. So Alfredo is the master mechanic for the "red team" and Glenn is the master mechanic for the "blue team." Glenn's only worked on my car once because Alfredo was on his day off, but he did awesome work. I had been rear ended at an angle on the right rear wheel area and it took 2 tries to get the alignment correct. Mostly my fault because of worn out tires, so they agreed once I had new tires for it they would install them and do a 2nd realignment at no cost. Christian, the service rep for the red team, is an awesome guy too, he'll definitely help you out, not just try to run up a high bill (the service rep guys are completely commisioned like the sales people). Hope this all helps, I know I was impressed the first time I went there to buy my extended warranty and then my first visit on it and I won't take my mazda anywhere else for work.

Oh I forgot, where do you work and do you live in the burke/fairfax city area by chance? I've been kinda bummed that I don't find a whole lot of NoVA members here in the forums, yet I see about 3 or 4 8's per day. I would love to meet up some time, maybe grab some lunch and hit the twisties in Clifton sometime.
