Politicians have forgotten that they are there for the people and should represent the majority and not their own whims. Last time I checked, no citizen was ever asked if they wanted front plates or even felt there was an overwhelming need for them. There are way too many bullshit nit picky laws and regulations out there.

NY law i have to have it on, and im not concerned about the getting pulled over i got the plate, its when i park on the street for anyreason, traffic cops in NY are pissed cause they didnt make it to be real cops, so they are A$$E$. but that Kmart plate is the best i seen perfect solution . thank you expo.
If you find a real solution to mounting the plate let me know I hate the way it looks on the front.
Maybe NY'ers should think about passing legislation to have the front plate banned. Think about it the only real 2 reasons to have it is because 1. the parking ticket b*tches can make their life easy to write a ticket and 2. so that the cameras that catch you running a red light can take a pic - which doesnt even count because if you noticed majority if not 100% of the cameras actually take the picture from behind.
My verdict, an easy cheap way for NY suck a huge c*ck PDto write up a few more parking tickets to fill their quotas.....

I happen to live in NY, and neither myself nor many people I know with other sports cars that do not have a front plate on, have ever gotten tickets, over the course of years without front plates. At least here on Long Island, they don't seem to care to harass people about the front plate. Just don't drive stupidly around a cop, and you're fine. Give them a reason to pull you over, and they'll probably tack on the no front plate.
I will continue with my plate on the bracket, in the trunk, with dead bugs from when it was on a previous car and mangled screw holes, incase I ever get pulled over.

Bro then maybe I need to move to LI please see previous post.
PS my car was PARKED.....

All I know is that when the tickets reached $300 in just a few days the front plate went on.
Thankfully when I brought proof that it was fixed I only had to pay about $50.
This all happened on Long Island in a very nice neighborhood. If you get busted once in an area you frequent, put your front plate on. They will be looking for you after that. Last cop actually chased me down to give me a no license plate ticket, and I wasn't speeding.

I removed my front plate last spring and haven't gotten a ticket. I live in Manhattan, but… my car sits in an indoor garage six days a week, so it's parked on the street maybe an hour a week, if that much. Mostly I drive out of the city to visit friends in CT and NJ.
That said, I am breaking the law, so if they ticket me I'll just pay the $65, or whatever it is.

6 rotors....I want more!
It sucks.
It is a money making venture for police departments. If they where serious about it, the front plates would be made smaller and thinner so cars would not have a problem displaying it and hindering in on air flow to cooling systems.
A license plate is not really needed in front of a vehicle, if an officer follows a car, he needs to see the rear plate. The front plate is a obstreperous and ludicrous waste of money, resources and labor from the point of view of society, but from the point of view of the establishment [ local/fed and state goverments ], it is a money /revenue making opportunity.
A solution that would give both sides an inteligent solution ...............( instead of goverment agencies dictating at will how to corral citizens into revenue oriented regulations that go against the constituents will , spirit of the law and intentions of said regulations , agencies which should represent the people of a nation as it was originally intended for, and which powers are powers VESTED by the grace of the constituents ) ...........should be a smaller license plate for the front of the vehicle , with only the numbers posted. The registration stickers are used on the rear plate only, so there is no need for a full size plate on front of the vehicle that has an empty area intended for the display of registration stickers as in the rear license plates.
The problem is that these agencies that have been created by the people for the purpose of securing the safety of the citizens, suddenly exercise a power never intended for it , becoming an independent monster, like a Doberman Pinscher dog bitting it's master.
We should vote for a law to force all policemen driving a police car to wear fire suits and full helmets...... in the name of "SAFETY" let's give them a piece of their own "RETHORIC MANIPULATION" Who cares if it is 95 degrees and humid as hell, in the name of "SAFETY" we can not afford to have officers chasing vehicles with out protection.
Any officer that refuses or pledges a position of opposition to this measure would be branded an "ANTISOCIAL" officer who puts his own interests and whims before "SAFETY FOR THE COMMUNITY"
That said, I took my plate off. I know how these cops are, I do not park on LA streets, and when I go there for work, I park in office building 's parking lots.
I will install mine on the side, bellow the side vent/oil cooler vent. I will post pictures upon completion.
