I heard that at Caesars Bay Plaza here in Brooklyn there are a bunch of guys that getvtogether Friday nights with their cars to chill and talk. My cousin says he had gone a few times but doesnt recall ever seeing any 8's. I was planning on going and checking it out this Friday. If any of you guys are interested in going , let me know. Im down.

That's the case with every ******* meet within metro NYC. Nothing but ghetto scenery with idiots ruining it for everyone.
A few years back, I tried getting something started by merging a meet with the Mazdaspeed & Miata guys at Douglaston. It started well for a few weeks given the great behavior the MS & Miata guys reinforced. Eventually word got out and retards came through.
Personally, I've given up on any meets in any of the boroughs. It's not even worth my time and 95% of the cars are **** buckets anyways.

Anyways, the forums are pretty dead. Most of the good meets get spread thru word of mouth/ social media.
Although I don't personally use facebook you can generally find some decent local meets on FB or Instagram. I sometimes try to post up good meets on here when I get word. But like I said the forums aren't too active with locals.
I guess its more about who you know and where you go. I've been going to local meets scattered thru Queens and long island if not weekly, bi-weekly since summer started. And I have yet to get kicked out of an unpermitted meet.
If you guys want good permitted meets. A good local one is Monday Night takeover that happens off exit 63 in the Brookhaven Amphitheatre in suffolk long island. A large turnout and its permitted (must pay to get in). I've been a few times and its fun.
Some non local ones that are always good are the Clean culture events and Fresh meet events. Usually held at fairgrounds/stadiums and have tons of vendors along with VIP sections and great turnouts... minus the retards... Those are usually scattered throughout the North east (Upstate NY, NJ, CT, PA, etc etc.)

Basically, but thats what happens when the Honda community gets word of any routine meet that goes on anywhere.
The teenagers show up in their lawnmowers and start getting rowdy. Small local get togethers that I've been to lately haven't been bad at all.
Other than that the big out of state events/shows are best. Spring bash, Tuner evolution, Formula drift, etc.

Clean Culture end of summer meet/show coming up this Sunday (8/30). Orange county/ Middletown NY
Always a good event by them. I'll most likely be there.
And then the following Sunday Fresh meet fall bash. In Millville NJ This is a pretty good event as well I'll most likely be going to.
Both are sanctioned events with vendors and tons of different competitions going on inside (2 step contest, car limbo etc.) Also loads of nice cars from all over come to attend.

Queens Owner looking for Drivers to Caravan and Canyon Carving.
I went to the Queens meet twice, nothing of much happening. Pretty disappointing. Personally I like to DRIVE my car then to stand around and look at it and talk about a bunch of bullshit. I live in Queens and take it up to Bear Mountain and Catskills as often as possible to drive it the way its supposed to be driven. I know a few roads that are downright dangerous to drive on but just a joy to drive on with the 8. I'd love to meet anyone who is interested in caravanning up to the mountains, driving some twisty turnies, and some canyon carving for a few hours. Stopping off for a coffee and then back to the city. We can save our bullshitting for this forum.
