NYC Waterfall Project
Hey guys,
So the artists are back at it again in NYC with another one of their projects. As you can remember we had those orange gates in central parks a few years back. Now they will be installing 4 man-made waterfalls (about 90-120 foot high) in the NY Harbor. I work on Governors Island as some of you may already know for Turner Construction. One of these waterfalls will be located on G.I, so i have attached some pictures of the waterfall.
ANother waterfall will be located under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Brooklyn side which can be easily seen from the FDR drive (east side of Manhattan).
Here is a link to their project.

As some of the NYRA/NJRA/CTRA member know, i have been trying to hold a Rotary Meet on the island and have been working very hard for 2 years to do so. Now that there is a NEW president of GIPEC (The half city/state agency in charge of the 172 acre island) it doesnt appear that it will ever happen.
The island is open in the summer from mid may thru Sept if anyone visiting wants to stop by. The ferry is FREE!
Best Regards
Jason,NYRA
