Our Rotorfest Apology

to our caravan
I know some of you called me,texted me and even spoke to me before rotorfest on pricing I was told 5 Dollars yes.
I missed out the pricing on the flyer cause I never mentioned it to Adrianna.thank god for that
I feel a little responsible only because we had so many of you guys come out for this and we pushed it like the thing of the year. I tried my very best with my busy traveling to get ALL THE NECESSARY INFO. but I failed

me personally I felt like a dick when Vosko Charged me $30 only because I had 15 or so on me so I had to ask Adrianna for some cash. made me feel irresponsible
again I apologize all that joined our wonderful caravan thanks Maxx for making the trip from Canda :0 you guys are always welcome in Newjersey

sorry to everyone, here is a direct post about the price. Vosko agreed to that it was $5 in his argument about the pricing

my favorite buddy in the world put $5 per person on the website he made. there was never any mention of any other prices. unless i'm blind i searched all 3 forums. so basically all of this is over $5. since the price went from $5 person to $10. nobody ever asked me how much it was to enter the car show or any other prices. i guess i'm slightly to blame there

did everyone think it was $5 to do everything ?? also $5 per car/truckload of people. it is true you cannot park at a drag strip for less than $10(not in nj). this is pretty ridiculous. i'm done reading this thread

Vosko you trying to make me look like a fool, when your just making yourself look more like a ******* *******. YOu hold an event and dont post the price for admission on 3 ******* forums wtf is wrong with you.

I showed you the site, if you were a good organizer you woulda said oh **** jason the track said its $10 per person so plese change it. But based on your agrument today you said the track JUST SUDDENLY changed the price. Then that means you AGREE It was $5 till today when it was $10

So my man, dont dig yourself a ******* bigger hole that i gotta throw you in.

$5 was the price, you saw the site, you commended me on getting it up and ****, you never disagreed with the price. I even asked you if the price was the same to which you replied yes.

So doesnt make a difference that i posted it (after you review it and agreed) since the TRACK decided to charge $10 per person and $10 for my transformer RX-7 (which counts as one person).

So therefore it was $5, until to day when it was $10 per person and $10 per transformer rotary.

So keep trying to get out of this one.

EDIT: Also read what your write, i have on the wesbite $5 per PERSON not truckload of ppl dick head!

Jason NYC

Dont worry guys me, chris and kel got something up our rotary sleeves, so RF wont leave a taste in our rotary hearts forever.

Jason

No you guys did a great job, No need to apologize. It was that *** CLOWN that failed in his duties as the event chair and having a contract with the facility stating the price. The excuse that the owner of the track raised is rates that morning is a blatant LYE. And lye he did to all of us. Now it was not the cost that bothered me. What bothered me was that he screwed up and was not man in enough to deal with it. All he did was charge us more to make his pocket fat. But over all my wife and I had a great time.

I agree no apologies needed. We can see the difference between a scammer and a genuine rotorhead. Jason, Chris, Kel, Pat, and others......just keep doing what you're doing......we all need the enthusiasm to keep our obsession fun!

Hun, no need for apologies. The surprise increase of the entrance fee did catch many of us by surprise. It was my pleasure to assist.

Ok I'm back in MA now and all I have to say is that the price was mentioned several times in multiple threads all of which Vasshole posted in. He had alot of time to correct the price. The fact everyone was saying $5 then get told "Oh no its $20.00 to get in" to me was a shock but I wasnt about to turn around after a 4 hour drive to see my friends (the main reason I stayed btw!).

Next year if you guys put together what I heard discussed I'll be there along with more people. I know you guys have the vision and the connections to make it happen.

I'd rant more but I'm dead tired and can only type simple thoughts lol

p.s. who did that nice lil donut in protest as they left hehe..
p.p.s. Anyone talk to Moon after he left?

I'm also in the no apology needed camp and me, being an ignorant sod, was just too happy to finally make it to a rotary meet to care about $5 extra... but it pisses me off that he messed with you guys.

It should be noted that my first run at the strip while impressively slow was quite pleasant with the AC blasting at full and a good tune playing... oops...

Note to self: Next time turn off DSC stupid. (Having read enough threads about it, you'd think I would have remembered.)

I believe that was Dean, who rolled with us from Delaware. Some of us hung out at Pat's afterward (Chuck, Pat, Moon, Dean, Mike, and myself). The general agreement was that nothing beats hanging out with club members, and Vasshole won't be getting our support ever again in the future.

Yes, that was me who did the donut.

I wanted to give the track owners something to remember us by.

What makes me laugh was this was my first car meet/event that I have ever participated in. Talk about almost leaving a bad tatse in your mouth...

It was worth it though, because I got to meet and hang with some wonderful peeps, and that is what counts.

Kel, Chris and all of you guys, stop apologizing! No worries at all, like I said, it was worth it to finally meet some of the wonderful people from here.

you were not the only one with the donuts... I hope vosco got charged for the messed up grass. for some of you that don't know me, I am part owner of Sokudo Oni Apparel. I was trying to sell shirts out there but after vosco took everyone's money there was nothing for people to spend on shirts. I will contact the key players and see about sponsoring some of the event next year. I will also work with chris to get some rotory shirts made. Sorry the rx8 won't be there next year but the rx7 will be. I was really upset with the event and being drilled at the gate. I asked to be a vendor for the event and planned on paying a vendors price which would have dropped the price for everyone else but was told no. This year we couldn't do anything for selling stuff but next it will be better. I don't know why they don't do it at sussex county fairgrounds like they did four years ago. Moving it to Island was a mistake. Also get real judges to check the cars. I will volunteer to do it. I want to help in anyway I can for next year. Chris you know I have a lot of connections when it comes to stuff like this.

I don't really have a problem with someone making money on a car show. If you head the location of space and get people to promote the snot out of it for free, that's good business. Man up, say I'm charging 20$ at the gate, and there will be no complaints. Other than probably having a couple extra security guys, I don't think Island really would charge for the field. They already get at least 5$ per head. If you bring in 300 extra people, $1500 bucks should cover the field. Heck, even being swindled out of anywhere from $5 to 15$, I'm not really mad. I just know that's not a guy I want to deal with in the future. Did Island count cars or heads? Other than the raffle ticket admission, the only person who knows how many cars were there is probably Vasshole (excellent name). The judging looked to be amateur (aka unpaid, in house). There were no events to speak of. Who pocketed the cash for the food?

Personally, I have a lot of ideas on what I would like to see Rotorfest become. I go to 2 annual car meets of significant size with my old car club. They are weekend events. People drove from Boston, Canada, and f***ing FLORIDA for a meet that lasts 5 hours? There were no classifications for cars. No real official judging. The trophies were garbage. There was no real PA setup or official headquarters.

I know Kel/Chrism and company will be looking to revive/rebuild this meet next year. It will probably mean a change of venues. Hopefully people don't carry over too much of a sour taste. While I sit at work today, I might draft out some ideas for what Rotorfest could become. It would be really nice to have something that can be the Seven Stock of the east coast.

hey jason, here's a thought. How about renting out Pocono Raceway for a day. It'll be expensive, but it's a frigging road course. they have a bunch of different setups you can you can rent as well. check out their website.

http://www.poconoraceway.com/trackrental/

I'm sure that we could get enough people in on this to make it reasonably priced per car.

Like I said I will help out in anyway I can. I contacted a friends business that would be interested in being a vendor for next year also. They have body kits and suspension parts for all rx-7's and rx-8's. The name is Daimyo Auto Boutique. They would have come this year but since no vendors were allowed they weren't going to make a trip from Indiana for nothing.
