Spotted another Rx-8 Shinka a couple days ago while in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh, you beeped at me and waved...Was wondering if you were on this site...

ok, here is my attempt at organization...
How about this sunday 4/23, at North Park (weather permitting). It is the second autocross event for the North Hills Sports Car Club. It would be a good chance to check out the 8's, and also the other cars running through the course. Bring the helmets and show up early if you want to run through yourself. Directions and registration info at www.nhscc.com
Im heading up to check it out anyway...
Thoughts??

Work has been busy lately, so that's the big issue. I wouldn't do any autocrossing, but I'd be up for meeting.
SteelCitysFinest:
Are you a member of the Steel Citys Finest Car Club?
Nice color choice. What options did you get?

Count me in... I went last time, and failed to find the one other guy that went...let's hope this time it works out!
Here are the directions from that website:
"Most NHSCC autocross events are at the North Park Swimming Pool parking lot in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
From the PA Turnpike take exit 4 south on Rte 8.
Turn right on Wildwood Road (winding road known as the yellow belt).
Turn left on Babcock Rd (2nd stoplight, North Park Lake in front of you).
Look for signs to pool at the top of the hill.
From Route 79 South take exit 73 (Wexford). At end of ramp turn Left.
At Second light (about 150 yards) turn right onto Brandt School Road.
Continue on Brandt School (which will change into West Ingomar Road)
for 3 miles to a "Y" intersection.
Bear left at "Y" (still on West Ingomar Road).
Continue for 3.8 miles (4th traffic light).
Turn right onto Babcock Blvd.
Get into Left lane.Turn left at top of hill.
Turn left at top of hill onto Hemlock.
North Park Swimming Pool will be on the left."
What time is everyone shooting for?

Any of you guys?
Anyone here from around the Shadyside/Squirrel Hill/Waterfront areas? I see a silver and black RX-8 everytime I'm in the area.
I see a black 8 in the Dormont/Mt. Lebanon area all the time.
I also see a red RX-8 in the Bethel Park area frequently. You were going into South Park the other day but caught the light. I was going slow with hopes that you could catch up, but no luck.

I saw a yellow 8 on 2nd Ave last week...so bright I spotted it from like a 1/4 mile away. Gave up the peace sign but the guy showed no response.
Also have seen the following around the S-Side alot:
P-Blue or Gray/Ti (always seen after dark) at Station Sq
Gray/Ti usually on Carson or 885 always spotted at bad angles.
Winning Blue always on Carson driven by female typically into cell conv.
Funny I got used to seeing 8's in socal right after the launch, but here in the 'burgh they still get space capsule looks 3 years on.
