Possiable buyer

Hi everyone I am new to this site I am thinking of making the leap into a 2009 RX-8 Manuel transmission with 83,340 miles on the car. The seller had sent me 5 short videos everything looks in order the thing is I have heard many stories of this cars many issues my buddy is a mechanic just not on rotary engines. Are then any owners in the Bucks county pa. Area willing to share some much needed advice? My cell number 215-526-4838 thanks

RX8Help.com has most of the info you need. Do not buy an RX8 or any sports car sight unseen.

If you don't mind, share the price you are thinking of paying. When I was looking the first thing I learned was how low the resale is on these, even a good condition good running one, because of the reputation for problems. Buying an RX-8 with over 80,000 miles means more than likely you'll have a compression problem and need of a rebuild or replacement engine in your future, unless you plan to just put a few miles on it now and then. As everyone here will tell you, don't buy without a compression test first.

Start your research in Forums - General Topics - new member forum and specifically read this one https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...t-here-202454/ it will answer a lot of questions.

If you decide you still want to look at this car then the Compression test is mandatory to calculate the fair value.
