I might do that My friend took a course though which decreased the amount he paid in insurance. they have their own high performance cars and teach you all sorts of random stuff. He said they had a viper and show him how to do burnouts, 180's etc... Anyone know about these courses?

Dude....look up Summit point Raceway in West VA. They have track days that you can go to...they're about $300. They do it about 2-3 time a month...but the season is almost over....bummer. The Summit Point raceway site has links to the driving schools stuff.

Are you somewhat close to Fredrick Md? Go to www.wdcr-scca.org/road_racing/marrs_series.htm Thats a link to the DC area SCCA site. I think there are only a couple of classes left to sign up for this year.(ends in October). There are level 1,2,and 3 classes, and you must do them in order. It is only about $125 per class. You can see the rest of the details on the site. On the top left of the page you wil see "Driver School".
