We should all meet at Cap Mazda and zaino our cars in their parking lot and insist on a reflash of the ecu's, plus the immediate buy back of Ticks car.

Do you really want Cap Mazda to reflash the ECU on your EVO?

I understand your frustration. I'm not real happy and I usually get 190-200. That is around town, stop and go short trips (I live about 3-4 miles from my office).

The current CW on the forum is that if you keep it below 3500 RPM it will make a big difference, [insert knowledegable discussion of port programming here] but I'm not sure I really buy that. My experience with my 8 has been driving habits will only change things by 1 or 2 mpg.

On the other hand, you could change your handle to 3-K Rever ....

I think that would hurt my rep on the forum...and my street cred...

In anyone interested in a Fog-light Fest?

I would like to do the re-wiring to enable the fog lights when just the parking lights are on. The standard wiring only enables fog lights when the head lights are on. There is a pretty good thread where someone made the change over.

In that the trick is doing it the first time, we can probably do 3 or 4 cars as easily as just doing one. I can probably even supply the few parts needed.

Nah..I am not a apperence mod person. I am trying to figure out how I can afford a $1700 titanium exhaust.

If I do that, then I have to figure out how I am going to eat and pay my car note for about two months....

Any idea guys?? What do you think about giveing blood?

Or selling Chiro's RX8 for parts at Chesterfeild Auto Parts?

So who else is having problems with their speakers buzzing? My cars going in Monday, and the girl in service knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked to have it looked at...

Bwhahhahaahahahahahahah....!

I say you should leave it dead and let me come over with my tool box so I can take some parts over to CAP and start my TITANIUM EXHAUST fund...

You know you aren't going to use those nice 18 inch tires...

They don't know what it is, but several people on the boards have had the same problem and it was either wires that were rattling in the door because they weren't tied down tight, or some kind of foam insulating thing in the door that shrank in the cold and vibrated. I told her it was driving me insane because any type of bass, no matter how quiet it was, makes it rattle. It's been driving me crazy, so they better figure out how to fix it.

I'm getting a rental- I'm praying they don't stick me with a truck....

Haven't had any problems with 1st since last Saturday(still skipping gears, btw) so I'm going to assume it's a fluke for now and ignore it. Anyway, it's going in for:

Oil pan replacement
Airbag recall
Heatshield recall
Rattle in doors
10k service

Well...let me know about the rattle in the doors...

Oh..hehehee I almost flooded for the first time since I go the car today..

I usualy blip the throttle and let it sit before I turn it off...you can hear the gas drain from the houseing... but today I bliped too much..and when I went to start the car... talk about sputering...

Kinda scared myself..didn't want to have to yank plugs it the parking lot at work..

That would be embarresing...

My RX-8 has been fine (knock on wood), however I keep mine in a garage. If I recall your comments during during the snow, you keep yours outside. The transmission lockup and door rattles might be a result of the temp changes from overnight cool down to warmup during driving (I think Hanzo suggested this). The new house may eliminate some of these inconveniences.

I don't know if Tick garages his car.
