No sympathy here. Mazda normally sticks me with a Saturn S sedan (through Enterprise).

Look at the bright side. You can go and pick up all that manure or mulch or whatever, that you didn't want to haul in the RX-8.

Just wait till you have to bring your 8's in....lets see what you guys get!

But, they said they think they will have my car back no later than tommorow..but they said they just got the parts in for the recall yesterday and they are scrambeling.

Eerie thing is..on the way to cap maz this morning I heard a load "POP" noise come from under my car...

What grit sandpaper did you request them to use for the car wash?

lol looks like 100 grit on my car you can only see the lines in direct sunlight they are like millions of very fine scratches going in circles. Since I only dry my car in a back and forth motion there is no way i left the marks.

You can polish that out.

Tick was talking about doing the Zaino thing to his car. Would a normal initial application of Zaino take our the swirls?

Not sure, never used it. I just use Zymol polish for that.

I am still considering getting the dealer to take them out. What do you think about that? Or should I just do it myself to be safe?

You should do it yourself, they might make it worst. Also they can also say they didn't do it.

Seems to me that, since you are negotiating with the dealer on other issues, you don't need to add one more issue to the list.

The dealer already agreed to fix the issue but I was considering doing it myself to prevent further pain and suffering : )

Yes, the Zaino will do it. I had this issue with I let Envisions wash my car, and the Zaino got rid of the little scratches.

I don't have $100 every two weeks to spend on getting my car washed/polished/vacuumed/conditioned, especially when I can spend $100 on Zaino stuff and do it myself for a year, and have it look as good, if not better. I'm sure Concourse is great, but I don't trust anyone with my car, and I've never seen a car shine, except at shows, like the Zaino does. Haven't been able to wash it since late December, and stuff still just comes right off with a spray of Z6 and a clean towel.
