Oh really?? I'm intrigued. Hope it looks good! I may not be bringing my wife this time. She may be busy but if not I will be bringing a female friend.

Nik:

Where in Manchester are you at? I'm in Goffstown, 5 mins from Manchester. What color 8 do you drive?

Hi there!

I just got my new 8 this past Spring, too! I live in Pembroke, about 15-20 mintues from Manch. I hooked up with this group for the Exotic Car Show at the Budweiser plant in Merrimack. They are an awesome group of people! It was a People's choice show, so I didn't get to talk to everyone as much as I would've liked, but I'm hoping to get to know people a bit better on this drive.

Sorry you can't make it next weekend. Hope you have great weather and an awesome time at your family reunion. Hope to meet you guys soon!

Michele

UPDATE!

Hey folks:

Just wanted to let folks know to bring their FRS radio(s) if attending the run. It will help in communicating the info from the leader to the tail car. If you have a radio, please bring it as it will help keep everyone together.

Thanks!

Monkey wrench ...

OK, so my son decided this year to do Cross Country, and this Saturday is the only Saturday event they have all season. It starts at 9am, so I was wondering if you can tell me where you are stopping for lunch and we will meet up with you there? I really, REALLY don't want to miss this! I need a "fun" day - too much seriousness in life lately!

Red:

We should be in Newport by approx 12 - 12:15pm. We'll be at the Newport Shop Plaza at Plaza Pizza. It's right off Rt 103 in Newport. Look for all the 8's parked outside.

The exact address (if using NAV) is 47 John Stark Highway, Newport NH 03773

We still have plenty of bridges to visit after lunch too.

Glad you can still make it.

Kev,

I'll be meeting up with you at your lunch stop also.

Don't worry Red, we'll be fashionably late...

Cool! I can't tell you how well-known I am for being "fashionably" (and sometimes not so fashionably!) late!

Kev - we have a Motorola. What channel will you guys be on? Also, can you PM me your cell phone number, just in case i need to call you to catch up.

thanks!
See you guys Saturday!

I'm still game though worried about gas. Kevin there will be some gas stations along the way correct? I just filled up my tank and did the math for my last tank mpg, and I got 9.74mpg My lowest EVER. saddest thing is I did no hardcore driving most of the week which is how I usualy chaulk up my crappy milage. So yeah I hope there are gas stations nearbye on our run. If not Ima be towed for the rest of the trip

Oh I gotta clean out my cooler and pack away a few pepsi's hehe. And Pizza for lunch WooT!!

Kev:

Do you drive with full auto mode or manual mode? I drive in manual mode and get approx. 230 miles to a tank of gas. Not very good, but its certianly not 9.74mpg!

To answer your question, we'll be stopping at one gas station as a bio-break and passing another one in case we all need to top off.

I think I've only hit 200 miles to the tank once haha.. thats a sad laugh there guys. I'm hoping its just my engine or my cat (read once awhile back a bad cat was causing bad milage.) I drive 50/50 for the most part for our lil triptronic tranny. Usualy I save the Triptronic for the highway since I have more control on able to have power on demand if you will, and I leave it in full auto while driving in town since our tranny seems to do a good job with its learned pc of shifting 1st though usualy shifts around 4k after that each shift is usualy at 3k.

Well if a gas station is at the lunch break area I'll definatly refill there.

Hopefully I can give her a wash Friday night (and a wipedown with some spray sealant), to be all nice and shiny for the drive!
