This meet will start in Wilwood New Jersey at The TunerFest If you would like to attend and show your car please register at TunerFest.com as soon as possible, spots are filling up quick so please reserve yours now.
We will meet at The TunerFest and enjoy the car show and all of the events happening at The TunerFest for that day and evening.
Please plan ahead for your travel down to The TunerFest as the doors open at 10am-2pm for the car show anyone after 2pm will not be allowed in the car show. Also please follow these rules below:
"All entrants at 2pm will exit the building for fire marshal. At this time if you do not have your gas cap secured, 1/8 tank of gas, and battery disconnected you will forfeit your chances to win any awards at the show. Doors/Registration will CLOSE at 2pm or before once we reach full capacity. NO EXCEPTIONS. It is imperative to pre-register in order to make sure you reserve your spot in the show. "
Once the TunerFest is over, we can all enjoy the night on the boardwalk strip of Wildwood. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and have fun. We will be leaving our cars at the hotel and taking cabs or buses back to the boardwalk for the safety and security of our vehicles and ourselves.
The hotel has yet to be determined as almost everything is booked. I have contacted a hotel that may be able to accommodate us because we are a group, although we need an exact number of occupants first: http://www.hotelalcott.com the rates are not that expensive if you are sharing a room and if anyone feels comfortable sharing a room with another member this would save you money.
The next morning:
We will be checking out at 9am promptly because the trip from TunerFest to RotorFest is a little over 3 hours. We will ride in a pack up to Island Dragway.

Yeah honestly I don't think I'm even going now. No one is going from this forum I think one person said they'd be there, but not only that every hotel has been booked for about 3 weeks now and to enter the show is money and to stay over even if we were to find a place to stay, is going to be at least 150.00 for the night.
I'm still definately going to be at the Rotorfest, no doubt about that.

***UPDATE***
1.I was informed today that people can not walk from spectator side to pit side while racing is going on. So if you want to race all day you apparently will be stuck on pit side and miss the show. Sorry, this is the track rules, not mine.
2. NO WUSSY BRACKET RACING!!! I am having it set with a "normal" tree .500, and HEADS UP. No need to worry about breaking out. Remember Trophies will be awarded for fastest ET.
3. Remember the rules if you want to race, I know it will be hot, but you need the proper clothing. You can't expect to race in shorts and sandals!!!
4. There is a 5MPH speed limit on all roads on the property and it will be strictly enforced.
5. Concession stands will be open all day long selling food/drinks/snacks
ONE FINAL NOTE>>>>> Every year there are problems with people getting out of hand, I would like to build a good relationship with the owner of the track, making it better for all of us for the future years. So PLEASE, come out and have a good time, just respect the rules of the track.
Thanks again,
Jay

My six-year old and I took some pictures and movies at today's event.
They're mostly of the drag strip. I put them up on the web at http://www.eguy.org/rx8/rotorfest/ without any formatting.
enjoy!
