i don't know if you are in this board but come on man...

I saw the other night these 3 kids in a Rx8 tailgating and swerving left and right the hell out of a guy in a SLK350. It was one lane road by Edgewater, NJ so there was no actual race. did you think you would actually keep up with this car dude? especially with 2 more passengers in the 8? even with only one driver you have no chance man. if you had a faster/nicer car than 350, ok, go ahead and show it off. but if you have a slower car, know the facts before you do anything stupid. he would've destroyed your A$$ and handed it to you. but the guy turned in to a street and was gone.

don't tell me to go drive in a rx8 now. i've been in both and plenty in slk350. slk is as fast as M3 convertible (oh, by the way SLK is a Hard-top convertible also) and I don't doubt what it can do. it is a quick little car and also it handles really well esp. with that AMG package.

let's hear some flames now. :p

 

Cant disagree SLK 350 is one the nicest cars ive driven power vs handling wise.

There is no way an Rx8 is keeping up.

BUT there are alot of old people who buy SLKs and drive slow as hell in them.

 

Hmm..I suspect this thread will be closed soon. RX8 club doesn't endorse street racing, wreckless driving, or flame wars. You coming on here like this is pretty lame dude. Move around doc.

 

I'm not endorsing Street racing. I'm actually complaining because one of rx8 owners was driving like an A.hole on the street, almost getting his *** spanked. As an RX8 fan, I don't want this cool RX8 image to be crushed everywhere on the street because of these individuals. I was wondering if this guy actually is here in this board. read it a little carefully "doc".

close this thread if you want. but i don't see a reason. I only said "lets hear some flames" because it seems that whenever someone says X car is better than RX8, there is ALWAYS bitching from rx8 members here. i talk facts not BS.

 

Fact is, for the most part, people are ******** no matter what they drive. So complaining about some teen being an asshat on an internet message board won't solve anything.

We know that people do stupid crap in their cars already.

Bitching doesn't always mean negative. bitching can be good because that tells me how satisfied the owners are with this car, and wouldn't have it other way. that's pretty hard to get out of from most cars.

 

people put up threads about sighting in forums. such as "i saw blue rx8 on 208 today, anyone from here?" those posts are legit and mine isn't? Since i saw rx8 with some issues, I thought i'd put it up.

I just wanted to ask him what he was thinking. that's all. why do you think i put up this message in NE section in the first place?

 

was the SLK going below the limit? what makes you think the kids wanted to race and they weren't just pissed because he was going too slow?

Basically, Termigni, you seem to have posted in order to get a rise out of these boards. No one's arguing the kids in the 8 were morons, but why would you deliberately TRY to cause an issue on here? And of COURSE people on an RX8 board are going to defend it- like guys on a SRT forum defend theirs to the death, and 350Z owners do on their boards. Who wouldn't? But to deliberatly try and cause a flame war? Consider this your only warning. Instigating stuff like this is not tolerated on this forum. There were plenty of ways to post this AND have the support of everyone who read the thread without trying to draw out a couple of punk kids who act like asses on public roads. You've now come across as attacking the entire forum, whether you meant to or not.
