Should I or Shouldn't I....Buy This RX7?
OK, I have a severe case of "I miss my car", and you guys, too! So, went and took a look at this car tonight, it's in fabulous condition, no rust, but it is an AT.
What do you think, buy it or not?
1990 RX-7 Convertible, auto, Red, 83K original miles, new top, new tires (ugly American Racing rims), black leather interior, fully loaded, garage kept.
He'll take $4000 for it.
Opinions?

I assume you have carfaxed it? Also, take it to a Rotary mechanic to look it over before you buy. Both would be money well spent.
Also, if you decide to buy make sure you do one more test drive and make sure the engine is cold. I.e. pop the hood and hold your hand near the engine and maybe touch it to feel there is any warmth.

In the U.S. all convertable FCs were non-turbo.
I'd hold out for a 5 speed. If you want an FC I'd hold out for a White TII Coupe...but that's me. The convertable RX-7s never really did it for me.

if your not 1st your last
i has so many issue's with my auto
I had 3 89-91 rx7 convertible's they are great and fun cars but dont get a auto
u will have problems with the tranny slipping. or you could do what I did and turboII it.
let me know if you have any questions

If you really are in the hunt for one go over to RX7club.com and watch the cars for sale section, there is always a few up for sale.
For those unfamiliar with RX-7's:
FB - 78 to 85, all were non turbo, in 85 some (GSL-SE) were available with 13B motor instead of the 12A
FC - 86 to 91, 86 - 88 were know as S4's and 89 - 91 were the S5's, the only gen available in convertible, TII's were the turbo model
FD - 92 to 95, fast, pretty, and expesive, ALL of them came stock with twin sequential turbos

79-80 had the SA chassis code while the 81-85 had the FB chassis code.
FB is commonly used and accepted to include all first gens. Just know that the first two years were NOT FB, but SA.
