Yeah, tonight sucks bad. The rain has turned to black ice, which is almost worse than snow. My 8 sits outside with all that crap on it, and then theres the salt next day..ugh..I dont want to think of it any more. Hurry up Spring!

Snowboard trip huh?

I just went for the most harrowing (sp?) ride of my life. I happened to be up in NW Lehigh County for my son's basketball game and left the area around 7PM. The roads were a sheet of ice. My ride was 90 miles and it took over 3 1/2 hours. In that time I must have seen at least 10 accidents, including 1 turned over SUV. Winter tires or not, no one should have driven in that ****. They didn't salt the NE Extension of the turnpike. The blue route also wasn't salted and was a total mess. I finally saw situations where the bridge actually froze before the rest of the road.

That is bad dag. I dont think the forecasters expected it to be this bad...its a high of 22 tommorrow while Thursday has a high of 50. Very funky weather patterns. Glad you made it home however!

We in Ocean County, NJ missed out on all the "fun" . Got up at 5:30 AM no snow / rain at all but that didn't stop the town from salting the roads after I cleaned my 8 Well I am ready for the stuff so bring it on!

I got 2 inches of the stuff at home. In Manhattan, there's nothing sticking. Just salt powder.

its feeling like a winter wonderland almost, not much more than a half inch sticking, but the roads are icy, and blizzaks are awesome, no problems with the ice, it felt sharp and sticky to the road, ich bin impressed.

This Storm was a bust

I swapped cars with my parents thinking this storm would give me problems, but it was not worth it. Now I have to drive home in a Chevy Lumina! Oh well, better safe than sorry.

Agreed, salt everywhere, not too much snow. Looks like theres going to be plenty of rain to clear it all up towards the end of the week. We should have dusty 8's just for alittle while!

we got some wet snow and ice in DC. left the mall at 5 to cold winds and snow. Just got Pirelli Winter sports on 2 wks ago, and they handled great. Seriously. I love the look on those SUV owners when I zoom zoom by on the exit ramps. This is not to say Im out speeding though. Its just nice to have the car keep a lot of its integrity. Now I just got a keep it clean.

No snow yet here in Phila, but the rain is doing a good job of rusting up my rotors, brakes and creating a sore sight on my rims. Anyone else in the same boat?

luckily the salt is minimal over here, else my black rx8 would be the new color of "dirty whitewater salt" that mazda is pushing out for the 2005s

Yeah Wayne, after you made your post about snow, it started here as well. We're over 1 inch so far and still coming down pretty hard.
