See section 2.1.2 from
http://www.emraracing.org/forms/EMRA_Rules_Ver_21.pdf
"Time Trial – four (4) point or better roll bar with at least one (1) diagonal are required for open vehicles only. Material and construction shall be per the requirements of section 6.0, Roll Cage. Roll bars are NOT required for sedans. Factory installed roll hoops (i.e. Porsche Boxster, Honda S2000) are not acceptable."
If it's not a sedan, understood to be a car with a structurally-integrated roof, then it needs a roll bar. Wish it were otherwise, but that's all there is to it....

Im fixing mostly just mechanical stuff. shocks/springs are fucked, replacing it with Stance coilover. stock sways, out, RB sways, in. Toe eliminator, RB end links. Maybe Radiator. Lots of switch inside the cabin is not even working, I fixed some of them, still trying to figure the others.
The right door & fender is fucked for sure ..... the previous owner said the previous previous owner did it, he got it off ebay and he was shock to see it too ... yea whatever.
Its gonna look shitty, so Im still thinking :\

Question about clothing, watching the videos, looks like the regs on clothing are pretty loose, is all cotton apparel suggested or can you just show up in any long sleeves and pants,,,

While we're here, does anyone else have any questions about anything else? Car prep? Things to bring? etc. There are some good "first time at the track" type threads on the forums but any questions just let me know.

Car Prep
a) Most importantly you cannot be too careful with your brake system. The wear on your brakes is far far greater than during street driving, and there is no margin for error.
(i) Your brake pads should have AT LEAST 1/2 of full thickness on them, 3/4 would be more prudent. This is easy enough to check and very important. Let me know if you don't know how to check this. If the pads are marginally old, now would be a good time to just replace them.
(ii) You should flush your brake system and bleed the brakes with a high quality DOT3-DOT4 brake fluid. (not DOT 5) I admit I did NOT do this before my first two track events, and I didn't have problems, but this was not very smart.
I just bled my brakes for the first time last week and I had never done it before in my life. It took 20 minutes with my girlfriend's help and was very easy; you can do it no problem. Over time on the street, brake fluid absorbs moisture and has decreased hydraulic abilities, so you want nice fresh fluid in there. Also, full-force stopping from 120mph, for example, generates FAR more heat than braking on the street; you want a high-quality fluid that will be able to resist boiling the fluid. Boiling fluid --> catastrophe in a hurry.
Not to scare anyone, but you should read this whole thread. You've been warned- brakes are no joke, so put the effort in to prepare them properly.

b) Bring masking tape to cover up your headlights, and also to tape #'s to the side of your car. You will need big #'s, though thinner tape works best.
c) You don't need to flush your coolant (radiator fluid) just for this, but make sure that it has been changed at the proper service intervals, and that it is topped up.
d) Top up your oil.
e) We can chat that morning, but you need to keep an eye out for unlikely though possible problems with the car while running. Remind me to talk more about overheating, severe brake fade, error codes.
Stuff to bring:
bring a FULL tank of gas, get fuel just before you arrive. You'll be at full throttle for long periods of time, I averaged <7mpg; you will use a whole tank of gas and don't want to run out. Also, below 1/4 tank the fuel pump can have some pickup problems in left-hand turns, so you don't want to run into that.
-lots of drinks, lunch and lots of snacks (you dont want to deal with finding food at the track)
-folding chair
-masking tape
-blanket/bag/bin/something to put all the **** you will pull out of your car on or in while you are out driving. You have to take EVERYTHING out (all glove box contents, jack, spare tire, tow hooks, EZ pass, floor mats, EVERYTHING)
-a quart of oil, you'll burn a lot of it. Rotary people probably carry this already... If you run premix as well, obviously bring that, and use 2-3x higher concentration than you use for daily driving.
-I'll bring my code reader. Occasionally just running really hot for a long time at high RPMs or at high speeds can cause the car to throw various error codes. I like being able to check if it's something harmless or serious.
-sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, HELMET
-wear: pants, long sleeve shirt, closed-toe shoes like sneakers
-tire pressure gauge and pump (I'll have these, plus most of the stuff on this list so we can share) You'll want to run about 35 PSI
Other stuff:
Look on youtube for in-car videos of the lightning circuit and try to memorize them. Actually driving it will be COMPLETELY different, but at least you'll have some idea of the layout and driving line.
Just so you are aware, almost every car insurance policy has a disclaimer saying the policy is void for any "racing" event. An emra time trial is NOT a racing event, is is considered a "driver education" event because there are instructors and there is no direct timed competition. In theory your car policy should be intact for this type of event, but do your own research because insurance companies like to pull shenannegans. (for god's sake though don't call them up and announce what you're doing lol) Don't forget: **** happens and you shouldnt bring any car to the track that you are not OK with the very remote though real possibility of severely damaging. Drive within your limits, start off slow, and listen to your instructor.
The event will be run in the rain, though if it were crazy pouring I think it would be canceled.
I don't know where everyone's driving from, but I'll be in atlantic city friday night (yess!), crashing with my friend in philadelphia on saturday night, and then driving in early sunday morning from philly. jfxp, let me know if you want to cruise over together that morning, I don't know where you are in philly, I'll be right in center city.

There's a section in the car prep PDF about cameras - basically they need to be bolted to the car, I'm pretty sure that suction cups are not permitted. Also, I don't think externally-mounted cameras are OK either, just in-car. There are a few threads on here that talk about how to make cheap/easy mounting frame for cameras.....
