5 Spinout Vids at Limerock

These are not my vids (11/8 Limerock HPDE), just haven't got to editing them... but did find these vids and pics that were taken and posted on NASE NE Forum. Vids are several spins taken by various people:

A lot of pics here:

Watching these spins is weird as I went through these same turns hell bent myself (w/traction control on) and of course I could never get into this kind of trouble. The 8 felt like totally stable and secure, in fact, I had a car spin in front of me too, and I thought 'What's the problem?"

But it is scary to see how easy and quick even 4 wheel drive cars go from 'normal' traction to greased spinout in the blink of an eye, and the drivers are left just sitting there!

As I said thankful for the 8's great electronic safety features!

Enjoy.

Those spin-out videos look quite dangerous especially if you need to brake mid-corner to avoid them, and risking a spin-out yourself.

With that being said, where are your videos? :D

Spin9k,
I'd like to check out your clips from Lime Rock.

I've still got the videos from Watkins Glen but my hard drive is too small (60 GB) to work on files this large. So I'll have to pick up a new one before I can compile the clips from Ron, Roger, and myself.

Call me crazy, but those vids looked just like what happened (in front) of me twice that same day. As they say..."like slow motion"....yet I had no (zero) problem stopping /avoiding while watching what unfolded in front of my windshield. I honestly don't know what was wrong with more than a couple "high performance" cars that day.

I know I'm biased, and the 8 is not exactly effortless to manage, but it is very 'safe' feeling on the track. That is a good feeling so I don't necessarily envy those w/HP&4WD that doesn't help or more power, poorly put down.

I got them sorta in process, but they come out pretty big, don't know where to host them. Any ideas?

Yea I got a 120MB on sale for like $59 just to have a place to edit. Files are huge. Or quality is poor if shrunk.

This is probably a good reminder of not to drive 10/10 in the proximity of other cars even though you're on a track.
