Hey
yes Chris i took your advice on what to yell at them about and i knew the speedometer was off because I hit 2 speed traps. The RX 8 is my daily driver-had a 2000 cavalier z24 and ditched that for a RX8! Its an 2004 with 11k miles btw

Unfortunately you don't know what the previous owner did during those 11K miles. With those problems sounds like they may have been a bit abusive. Now if that was a new car I'd be concerned.

the 8 is a delicate car.. so with people driving it the way they did.. i could see why all that stuff was wrong.. i suriously doubt that they will be able to fix it.. It would have been a lil more money.. but you could have sent it to KD rotary in PA.. they only work on rotaries.. how is the ford running?.. :-D

well i just picked up my car and the service manager told me my car is SUPPOSE to pull since its a high performance car-yeah ok!
second the tires are at the wear mark and when you get a used car you need to get a pic inspection-the guy didnt want to pass me bcuz they are at an unsafe tread height
the list is on and on
my speakers are almost blown in teh bose system and they wont replace them etc etc

To me since the 8's are new.. He shouldnt have as many problems as he is listing.. unless someone was in an accedent with it and they fixed it and tried to sell it.. i mean the stuff that is wrong seems kinda odd that's all

^ What I was referring to was when you said "the 8 is a delicate car" and "i suriously doubt that they will be able to fix it.." Then you recommended taking a car that's under warranty to a specialty shop to pay to have them work on it.

The reason why i say that is cause most of the time the dealers dont know what they are doing with a rotary engine.. or car for that matter.. but, i would would take it back to the dealer til they get the thing working.. and warranty is up.. when its up and car still fucked up .. i say get money back.. but if he still likes the car he can take it to KDrotary.. they warranty their parts from what i think.. i'll ask a few 7 people who have went there to see if they warranty their service and parts..

Unfortunately, Wayne Mazda is much better than the other two dealers I had the non-pleasure to take my car to.... So far, the best out of them, so I'm worried to hear of your problems with them.... Even their customer rating with Mazda US is excellent.
As for the problems you mentioned, they seem minor to me. The stock tires are weak and good only when it is warm outside, so since this sounds like the 8 is your daily driver, you need all seasons anyway - and have them install them, other places might break the pressure sensors or not balance the tires right.
Also, the speakers on both Bose and stock systems are lousy, so replace those (all of them) anyway (Infinity Reference series seem preffered). I'm in the process to replace mine also.... and I did get the all season tires too
The only bad news is that the brakes will keep squeaking even with the new revised pads - but the good news is, brake dust will be much less
Just curious, what else is wrong with the car? Anything major?
