IT FRIGGING FAILED!!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHA...

so I aint paying a dime (fo'sur! lmfao). So I am seriously thinking of applying here at this place haha.. people are nice.. and left me alone.. kinda happy none asked "Hey while your waiting wanna check out a car..." or "why is your car here.. well why not get a new car." totaly respectful. That and I found out this service dept is open to get this MIDNIGHT! like wtfbbq!?!???!!

So yeah.. I have a extra $92.50 to play around with this week go meh!

Um.. I dunno.. I'll be asking for a print out obviously so I can post up numbers. Oh and I'll also make up a list of the problems I've had for others incase they are woundering what I went through or are suffering from similar problems.

Well I lied.. they did charge me.. 226.78. So when I got home I called up MNAO since they are the ones that told them to charge me for all this. I talked to a Glann (i kid you not that is the womans name), who said she'd talked to the dealership to figure things out since it sounds like I shouldnt of paid anything, damn straight I shouldnt of. I'm not mad at the dealership since they where told by Mazda. I'm hoping its a miscommunication on Mazda's part and I'll have that money credited to my account by tonight.

Oh and I'll have a motor in 2-3 days time. Anyone have any ignition plugs laying around the tech said I could use a new set.

kewl thanks Greenblur.. (mark was it? haha.. to many marks now on the boards).

Well my gut feeling was true.. the tech actually said that after they performed the decarbing that the compression was worse.

Just got off the phone with Mazda and they said that them charging me stands since I went in and asked for the compression check. Mind you I told them a short list of my problems previously with the car and that its been feeling sluggish lately. The woman on the phone was worthless and kept on saying that the decarbing is considered maintence it wouldnt be covered, but stated "well your getting a new engine out of this.". I'm just pissed and happy at the moment.. but more pissed since I'm near broke atm (personal issues joy!) and I put aside $100 specificly for this.. not $227.00.

Oh and I did try to reason with the woman. "I went in knowing I'd pay $92.00 for the compression check, and it failed. Mazda told them to do the Decarbing and told them to charge me even though it still failed?" thats when we ended up going in circles and her repeating "we dont cover maintence...".

...... Ima go eat and play some violent friggin' video games.. thanks Mazda for taking me for a ride today.. !

Compression Numbers

^Exactly.. I paid for something they required before replacing the engine and it still failed........ although a previous Mazda Rep stated to me and I told him to verify what I thought he said that if it fails I pay nada.. but if it passes I pay.

Ok onward to the Numbers

R1
1. 6.9
2. 7
3. 7.1

R2
1. 6.5
2. 6.5
3. 6.9

Again the guy said the numbers where worse the second time around (which are listed.). He seemed confused as to why I would want a copy of them.

Go Mazda service. Can't get much worse than agreeing that your car has a problem serious enough to require a new engine yet somehow the test & cleaning to confirm that are 'maintenance'????

Once the engine is in and everything is fine just get a lawyer and go after Mazda. I'd wager it only takes the receipt of a certified letter for them to refund your $227.

^ Well I'm just gonna talk to the service manger and I wont leave till I get it back. And I know I'll hear "well you're getting a new engine out of all this.", and if I do I'll just say "Thank you Captain Obvious, but that still doesnt help me get my $227 back.". Already have it planned out with stating a question of where in our owners manual that a compression check and a decarb is part of preventitive maintence? That and no one on here so far hast stated "Well Clavius they are right..." at all. Hell even my friends are baffled by them charging me at all since the motor failed and needs to be replaced.

Last thing.. its Thursday.. and still no phonecall from Tasca about the motor being in yet.. so much for 2-3 days.

A Late Update of sorts for you all.

1) They tried to not give me a Loaner/Rental, I therefor called up MNAO and talked to their customer service and got myself one. They acted like "they" got me one my friend whom was with me was very impressed haha.

2) The Service Manager wasnt there at the time I dropped off my car so I went back later. Talked to him for all of 5 minutes and at the end of it all he agreed with me and all of us that it should of been warrenty work and was unsure why the Mazda Tech Line said to charge me at all. I'll have a check cut out to me and waiting when I pick the car up.

3) Today is day 3 so I'm hoping today will be the day I'll have the car in my possession. Now I just gotta read up on breaking in the rotary hehe.

So in closing of this post, I got a rental out of Mazda, my $227 back and a new motor. WooT!

Good work. Glad to hear the service manager there is solid. I had heard he was, but have not had to deal with him for anything. Makes up for some lackluster service from his underlings . . . lol

A oil cooler line aparently is leaking and they wish me to shell out $400.00 to repair it. I'm bringing a mechanic friend with me tomorrow to go inspect my car 'cause I'm sorry I never had any leakage problems before. That and why did they wait to tell me it was leaking till after the new motor was put in. If it was leaking now it must of been before right??? That and after doing the phonecall shuffle between dealers and MNAO I'm just pissed and annoyed.

The engine is installed and running and as Chris said if I have to I'm telling them to slap duct tape on it and I'll just drive it home and install this oil cooler line myself. But I doubt it, if it wasnt leaking before they must of did something and are trying to have me pay for it.

as far as i can remember you need to uninstall those lines to put a new motor in....so if they werent leaking before and they are now....what does that tell you?...and if they were before then why didnt they tell you and try and blame the engine damage on you?......seems fishy

Angry

Just got back from the dealer.

First, the damage to the oil cooler lines was by them pulling on it to get it out. I brought my mechanic friend (who is also named Chris) and he even said it infront of the tech who is working on my car. The Service Manager is yet again out of the building till this afternoon since he is at some meeting. Once he's there I'm bringing my friend back with me and making them pay for this, as I've said and so has Chrism here, it wasnt before so why now?

Second, they DAMAGED!!! my sideskirts!! Like fuqing seriously, I told them specificly about why I brought my car to them not Mazda Gallery in Norwood. And yet they still didnt pay attention when putting my car on the lift. To those who dont know, I still have the STOCK suspension (GT Spec thanks Chris ) sure with the sideskirts its lowered slightly but not drasticly to cause this much of a problem. oh and by sideskirts.. yes I do mean BOTH OF THEM!!

Right now I'm pissed all I want is my frickin' car back not be harassed and not forced to do all the fraggin' foot work to get **** covered properly. Have the god damn tech own up "hey boss I messed up... we need to replace this for the guy.." and just fuqing do it and tell me about it "we damaged this but replaced it for ya no charge obviously.." and I'd be happy since they owned up to their screw up. Instead I get to call up MNAO, Mazda Gallery and Tasca to find out if this damn Oil Cooler Line is covered or not under warrenty (its not btw.. like seriously wtf!?).

After this I'm only taking my car to Performance Shops since they know how to properly service a car. That and I'm out of normal warrenty for the most part anyways.. I need a drink and its only 10:22am.

Got the car back.

So far impressions are OMFG.. thank god its rear wheel drive! The Taurus I had for pretty much a week was a POS and got worse gas milage than the 8 and yes I was babing the thing so I wouldnt have to fill up to much.. so much for that idea. Engine cranked ova no problems and if anything did it quicker than normal. Rev's where around 1.5 and stayed there unlike the normal 2k+ start up and slow work down I was used to.. oh plus a few seconds of attempted start up cranks. I babied the car home not hitting RPM's above 3.5k. One thing I have to observe is if my motor mounts are yet AGAIN shot. Car was shaking once more at a stop light but I'm at the moment chaulking this up to the fact that the car only had 3.5miles on her when I started to drive her.

Oh side skirts are still scuffed up and the Service Manager feels that they didnt do the damage since his tech(s) have dealt with lowered car and cars with kits before and never had a problem and on the few rare ones they owned up to 'em. I'm just done... any further work I'm doing myself with local friends.
