Selling an Auxmod - sort of
I purchased an auxmod a while back, and jerry rigged the installation through the little batarang faceplate on the radio. It worked pretty well, except that my method of installation meant it wasn't very secured and that big bumps would jar it loose.
Also - I disconnected my battery a few times to do some things, and upon reconnection, my auxmod would occasionally turn itself off after 30 seconds. This issue is something that happens to people using the PIE adaptor etc when they disconnect the battery. The suggested solution was to disconnect the adaptor and reconnect it, along with some fancy button pressing on the radio. So I tried to take my auxmod out, and put it back in - unfortunately, the hand dexterity required to get it in there through the little faceplate opening is very high, and I was damn lucky the first time. So right now, I don't have the patience nor the ability to install it through that opening. I also don't really want to take apart my radio to install it properly (see the Auxmod website for proper installation procedures).
I have no idea if the auxmod still works, but it should. So here's the deal. I would prefer someone local to pick this up so we don't have to deal with the cost of shipping. I'm giving it away to someone who wants to install it (I suggest installing it the right way, I'll give tips and info). If you get it working, feel free to pay me for it. If it doesn't work, keep it and don't owe me anything. Anyone interested in trying this out, let me know. I can post pictures up when I get home.
