WV WANTED 13b engine for 2004 w/auto transmission

I live in Charleston, WV and working in Columbus, so would like to keep it within 200 miles of either. Send me info including price, mileage, and photos. Also may be interested in getting current motor rebuilt. Let me know a price and logistic proposal.

Based on the value of the car, it's almost not worth it. Someone I know picked up a reman series 1 engine from Mazda for $2,800. I don't think rebuilding a series 1 engine is worth it.

it’s about 300 miles from you, but this is likely your best bet

I re-checked the build I had in mind. it was a S1 reman ($2,800 and standard 1yr/12K warranty) from Mazda, but S2 transmission. @Justin Southworth , things to consider: Rotary Resurrection provides a 1 year/unlimited mileage warranty on labor only. Barring any serious aftermarket mods to your car, a reman from Mazda provides a 1 yr/12K miles warranty on parts (and labor, but only if a dealership does the swap). Review both warranties as they're more in depth than the general terms I just wrote.

I have read that 4-port remans(since OP has a 04 AT) can actually be more expensive than the 6-port remans due to the lower quantity of them.

I would take Team's recommendation, since 4-port engines aren't that common, and most of them are probably not in good condition used.

If you still need a 4 port, I have one available coming from a 04 with 42k miles on odometer. Located in mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Compression is overall lower 90s but can send you pictures.
