04 Mazda rx8 hot start problem!
So I've had my mazda for about 2 years. when i first bought it the engine was bad, low compression needed a change, went to to T&r in Jamiaca ave Those guys hooked me up with rebuilt engine, new cat new radiator, new starter and everything was great, recently though I've been having hot start problem , i run my rx8 for a while and when i park it takes 20-30 mins to start again. the car runs great recently sea foamed it, but it continues to have this problem. idk whats going on Please help, i love this car and want to keep it for while longer =(

i did i can't find a thread with the same problem, most people have a compression problem and need a new engine but thats not my case since i have a rebuilt engine.

Just because you have a rebuilt engine doesn't mean the same diagnostic criteria aren't used for diagnosis
You might want to check your fuel pump....that will often fail in a way that it works when cold and not after it has warmed up
Otherwise there are no shortcuts in trying to figure stuff out. Don't assume that your compression is good until you find another issue...or you have it tested and confirm that it is good
I have seen rebuilt motors that only survive 50 miles....
when it won't start is a good time to check to make sure you have spark and fuel pressure....if you do then a compression check isn't out of the question
