Hi all,
Thinking of getting some hubcentric spacers to fix my offset. I've seen a lot of mixed forums between 20mm and 25mm but not sure if I should go for 20 or 25mm with my setup, I don't want any rubbing. I get that spacers aren't ideal, I would prefer to get wheels, but I really like my current 40th anniversary wheels, and can't see myself spending £1500 just to fix the offset. Would more offset wheels have pretty much the same effect to suspension geometry/bearing life as spacers? Other than if they were wider wheels of course, or am I missing something?
My current setup is a stock 40th anniversary rx8, 225/45 tires but lowered by about 25mm, I've read someone with a s1 stock but lowered and 235 tires were running fine with 25mm spacers front and back, but thought I'd double check. I've measured the distance to my inner wheel arches, seems very close at 25 mm, not sure if it'd rub...
Not the greatest photos but it's a rough idea
Thank you
