2008 Nav Replacement/Upgrade

Hi,
I have an 08’RX8 just got it and it needs a couple things, this is all new to me so please excuse my ignorance. The nav system does not work at all and the screen is even peeling and curling up. I don’t HAVE to have a nav system…. With that being said is there something that’s not going to cost me an arm and leg to put in this spot? A tablet? A different radio? I have no idea and have been looking online and see are placement nav just like the one already in there is really expensive and probably not really up to date. I don’t mind spending a couple hundred but that’s really about all I’d like to spend. I’d appreciate any info or suggestions. Thank you very much.

Find an inexpensive double-DIN head unit, and get a Metra kit. Seems that's about all that's required for S1.
