2009 Navigation disc?

Any body know where to get the Nav disc for my 2009 RX8? The dealer wants $350!!! Does anyone know if other Mazdas' discs would work?

You'll want the new updated disc if you have the Kenwood system. Make sure you get the correct one for your region. Here's a link https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/2018-m...disc-452-p.asp

Unfortunately, I don't see one for the USA.

You will need to locate something similar to that for the US market. Not sure where they are sold. But definitely dont buy from Mazda.

I have a question about the navigation in general.

Which is better to spend money on:
an updated Navigation CD to use with the navigation screen
or do a modification, where the screen is replaced with a tablet and use Google Maps instead?

Definitely upgrading the stock deck is the way to go. However, updating what's there is the cheaper option. Depends what you want really.

Well that is what troubles me. I will ask a Mazda dealer how much does an updated CD cost, and from there weight in which option should i pick.

The tablet would obviously be better in terms of speed, more info of the map and roads, ability to check info and working hours on gas station, shops and restorants
without taking your phone in hand. But than again, using the in-built navigation buttons and dial is also great. Touchscreen is horrible when driving IMO.

Ok but be warned they gonna charge an arm and a leg and maybe a few extra toes. I'd just replace the stock unit over getting that nav disc from Mazda themselves. Aftermarket, you have so many options for the same amount as Mazda is gonna charge you for that disc.

You can just run the YaTour setup as long as your system v9.55 or newer. You can just buy a cheap tablet and mount all in for under $200.

I already bought that YATOUR bluethoot adapter. Me and my friend installed it, tried music and a phone call during playback.
Works perfectly! And yes the steering buttons work. I especially love the track skip/selection, most useful.
Luckily my radio was 9.55.

Well i don't want to go off-topic, after a month i will make my own thread about my rx8.
