2011 RX-8 GT Programming Mode
Hi everyone,
First time caller long time listener. I've owned my RX8 for 2 years, stock. loving it, and am looking to make changes in the future, so... hi! . I finally made an account as I've encountered a problem after two years and I'd like some input. I lost my Wallet Keyfob and am in the process of trying to program a regular flip key, My problem isn't with the key (at least not yet) but with getting into programming mode.. I've gone to multiple forums including the RX-8 Club forums but have not found my specific problem. I can't get into programming mode. I've read, re-read and re-read again, and tried a FEW miniscule different variations of the same way to get into programming mode. I started reading from https://northcoastkeyless.com/2011-m...-instructions/ initially, and looking at other user's posts in other forums, minus some alterations (such as press the lock and unlock door keys while the door is open first) I have tried these instructions multiple times without success. The car does not respond. The car is the problem currently, not the Key FOB. the doors do not cycle the locks to indicate that it is ready to receive programming instructions. I am open to information and to provide it.
Thanks in advance,
-Oregano

Run mazda ids with a compatible plug in adaptor to the obd 2 port ( i have vcx nano) (Download and Install VXDIAG VCX NANO Ford Mazda IDS V122 and Patch | OBDII365.com Official Blog)
connect car to the program
run pats
it will give you an outcode and request an incode
usually you have to get these from mazda but i reprogrammed an ecu for my car and had to do the keys to start the engine. i got a program called incode by outcode on my phone and that gave me working codes to complete the pats security.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hl=en_AU&gl=US
follow the onscreen instructions to complete the programming of the keys
