ABS, Brake & Traction Light On

I've search this issue but my symptoms don't seem to match up to other people with this problem.

Twice in the last week while I was driving (engine was warm) the ABS, brake and traction lights all came on at once and stayed on while I was driving. Each time if I shutdown and restart the engine the lights don't come back on. I'm not sure what might be causing this, and there's no faults logged on the ECU, but I didn't scan when the lights were on.

Is the car even safe to drive with those lights on?

2007 RX-8 Sport, stock everything except 20" wheels. All tires are matching size.

Start out by checking your brake fluid level. If it's low, the ABS or Brake warning lights may come on.

Otherwise, you may need to troubleshoot whether the DSC module or connections to it are problematic.

If there's a problem with the module, it would have logged trouble codes, but since it didn't, it's more likely that there's a connection problem that intermittently creates issues. Check the connectors.

FYI, the DSC module is in front of the brake master cylinder.

Oh, I forgot to ask. Do the ABS, Brake, and DSC light come on when the ignition key is turned to ON? If they turn on then off after you start the car, troubleshoot as written above, but if they don't come on at all, it's another indicator that the connection to the DSC module is bad.

The lights have only come on twice (all 3 lights) while I've been driving. The lights shut off as soon as the car is shut off and turned on again. Lights dont come back on.

I will try to locate the module and check the wiring, thanks!

Did you recently have new tires/wheels installed? Knowing that all three will turn on again even if I had pushed the TSC button to turn off once I've started the car, after three to five miles of driving the car all three lights will turn on. I was still able to drive my car for 150 miles but if I tried to floor the gas pedal down, the ECU will simply not allow you the normal response to accelerate; but slowly as though you are driving over a layer of wet pavement keeping you from hydroplaning.

A month or two ago when I went from stock wheels/tires to a much longer offset and wider set of wheels/tires. I had my wheels rebalanced, the front wheels specially, and that fixed my problem. I have no explanation why that occured other than my theory that the sensors where probably being tripped by a slight wobble because the front (possibly, also the rear) wheels was not balanced properly.

Might be a bad wheel speed sensor, take off your wheels, and if they are dirty, clean them up and see if that does the trick. Cant hurt
