Acceleration issues

This is my first post and I am somewhat of a new rx8 owner. I have an 05 rx8 4spd shiftable automatic with 93k miles on it and it feels like it is going slow when i accelerate. When I start my car up in the morning it takes an extra second to start bu then sounds fine. I let it sit there for about 5 mins till it warms up then I go on my way( I assume thats fine). The problem is when I come to a complete stop and then accelerate it feels like it is in neutral and someone is pushing my car. Sometimes I will have my foot to the floor on the gas and it will takes ages to go, then when it starts to it will violently jolt the car and speed off. I normally drive in manual but in auto it seems to accelerate a tad faster. I'm not sure if this is related to the problem but when im on the expressway and in 4th pushing the gas pedal down, sometimes all the way, will barely do anything. Im not sure if its just because it is cold out or what. Any help is appreciated thanks in advanced!

I have the same issue 04 rx8 auto, when I go to accelerate I put my foot to the floor and it takes a few seconds to start accelerate and is slow below 4000 but then pickes up and accelerates fine and will redline, new coils plugs wires air filter, memory reset also replaces the air sylonoid? What am I missing or is this normal? I did shut it off once with out revving it up could that have recked my plugs that bad?
