Advice on decarb at 138k?

My 04 MT has 138k on it now and has never had a decarb. The car is up on stands right now anyways (replacing clutch hydraulics and cleaning sensors) so I was wondering if I should do go ahead and try a decarb while i'm at it. However i've read posts about people saying not to do it past 100,000 miles but others saying that it doesn't matter. Advice please?

Don't bother it will not accomplish anything and could only cause issues.
