Aftermarket sound system questions

Can't post this on the other forums so I may as well post here. I have an 07 rx8 with bose. I already replaced the headunit with a pioneer 4100nex. Here is the new setup I want:

infinity kappa 60.11cs components (getting a 9" to 6.5 converter)
Alpine Type R 10D4 with a 10 inch sealed box
Alpine PDX-V9

The issue is with the rear 6x9 speakers. When putting the rx8 model in the crutchfield filters, it shows most 6x9 speakers are incompatible. It says that the mounting height isn't compatible. I believe it can't be any higher than .500, which i'm not even sure what that means. Anyone able to offer me some clarification? is it that it won't fit underneath the speaker grill?

Also, on a side note, any recommendations on some solid midrange 6x9 coaxial speakers?

From the last time I build a killer car audio setup, Bose is better than alpine. I was trying to search the forums to see if people even recommended "upgrading" from the bose system.

But as far as I remember, Alpine's quality has dropped in the past decade to fit a price model opposed to being a stellar speaker.

Additionally, if there is fitment issues, it might be better to just add the sub(s) and keep the bose... The bass is lacking, but they are fairly clear even above 22 on the dial.

2 cents

The height issue would be the tweeters that are mounted on the stalks hitting the factory grille. Some brand's will supply a.375" spacer for bottom mounting. You may have to find a car audio shop to fab some up, they usually have them laying around.
