Anybody try the NAPOL ignition coil and 10mm wire set?
They claim to exceed factory performance and mine can use a new set. Thought I Kay give them a try.

Not at all that's the thing... the set is only $150 usd. The reviews I found look great whether or not they are real reviews who knows. One claimed 10x better starting and much improved low end grunt. If true that suggests the product actually works extremely well.

Never heard of them. Nearly all manufacturers make sensational claims to sell their products, so who knows? Actually, the claims they make are all true, when compared to a tired RX-8 ignition system. It's a gamble for the first few buyers.
Not any info on this site, according to Google:

These are known to meet Napol's claims, even when compared to a fresh ignition system:

If new is too expensive, they pop up used pretty frequently:

Thanks for the feedback guys... price is not the issue for me these just seem really interesting in that they may be new however may also wind up being a low cost alternative with the possibility at least of a very good quality product.
Here are 3 Amazon reviews I found. All rate the product 5 out of 5 stars after installing and running them.
"5.0 out of 5 starsCoils work perfectly, car starts 10x better now and low end power is much improved. Customer service is also fantastic!"
"Coils fit perfectly and have improved starting and gas mileage."
"tres bon prix pour la qualite" ( very good quality for the price)
THEY ARE ALSO SOLD WITH A 5 YEAR WARRANTY!
I'm that guy that will give them a try and I'll know instantly whether or not their claims are false if they are junk with the warranty I'll send them back. I'll report my results in depth in a few weeks when they arrive and I can install them.

OK. Let us know how they perform--especially over the long term.
BTW, reviews of ANY coils better than eBay coils are expected to be positive, assuming the car in question is in need of an ignition system refresh. Food for thought.

Sounds good thanks. Original owner of this car I just bought it from told me plugs... coils and wires are original and car is now at 40k miles. It's winter 6 months per year where I live so the car only saw a few months per year of summer use since new I really scored a beautiful mint car with low milage for an amazing price. Bought it with no safety inspection so I ground the guy down to the dirt on the price. Took it in next morning for 88 point safety inspection and she passed! Was quite impressed with myself on this purchase I must say! I paid $5500 usd and it looks like a brand new car top to bottom. Starts great... runs great... but time for fresh ignition so I'll let everyone know how she goes. I really like the idea that they offer a 5 year warranty that says alot about the confidence they have in their product.

Keep in mind that coils for this car last an average of 20K miles. Also keep in mind that a warranty is only as good as the company offering it, and the word "warranty" can mean almost anything.
For the price, even if the coils fail in 20K miles, you can potentially leverage the warranty to stay in new coils for 5 years. Potentially.

That's a good point. I just sent your question to an eBay seller to contact the manufacturer and let me know the answer. I do this on occasion they usually get back to me in 1-3 days. I'll post their answer here.

Okie dokie I heard back from NAPOL and their reply was that through coils are putting out 25000 volts. Now I have no idea if that's good or bad frankly so I would appreciate someone with knowledge chiming in on this thanks.

Well that does make false claims if they are no better than stock. Is the 10mm wire same size and material as stock? Only asking because I ordered the wire coil set. They come with a 5 year warranty according to the NAPOL ad listing so thats the warranty I will get. Best case scenario is that they are reliable and offer anot inexpensive alternative to stock. Although from what I understand stock coils have issues or are under powered? Either way I will run them for the summer see how they hold up.

I replied the the NAPOL rep turns out he is just a sales guy. I asked him how this set is better than stock when voltage is the same but doesnt know he just sells them. So he will find out about current on the coil packs and get back to me.

The current will be about the same as a stock coil also. I just assumed these to be OEM output coils in yellow plastic, and that is why I went directly to them being better than old, tired coils and potential warranty implications.
It makes perfect sense, if you know how coils work. A coil is basically a transformer, a capacitor, and a switch in a plastic case. The packaging of those coils limits their voltage and current ratings. To achieve more voltage and current, the package has to be bigger. Assuming the package size stays the same, going up in voltage reduces current. Going up in current reduces voltage. The only way to increase both, that is not super expensive, is to increase the size of the coil wire on one side, increase the number of windings on the other side, and increase the size of the core. That means the coil has to be physically larger in size.
If you want to buy once and cry once, check out BHR's ignition offering.
Otherwise, you can replace your coils, plugs, and wires every 20K miles, and keep costs down by using coupon codes and the like. Warranties can sometimes be leveraged for free coils.
Don't cut corners here. Ignition health is the number one most important thing to manage in this car.
