Anyone try the checkpoint tuning CAI?

Hi I'm new to the forums but wanted to know if anyone tried the checkpoint tuning CAI https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-04-11-Mazda-RX8-RX-8-1-3L-Blue-Cold-Air-Intake-K-N-Air-Filter-/152579102992 Is seems similar to the aem but half the price. If anyone has tried it lmk what you think, and if the air flow is good. Just wanting to see if it messes up fuel trims or anything.

It's probably ****. Why not just buy the AEM or Mazdaspeed that's proven? Actually, why buy one at all? The stock intake is very good, spend the money elsewhere.

The price is crazy for just sound. So should I just go with a k&n drop in? Or wix?

One more question though is the vfad duct and the snorkel looking piece all one part? I would like to keep the that tube if possible. But if the only way to achieve more sound is by removing it all that's what I'll do

Yeah I contacted cpt and they said they don't include a screen before the maf so probably not, even though they said they haven't had problems selling the product for over 10 years. I'm stumped haha

I'm confused here. You just want it to be louder? Why not get a proper exhaust then? I think your wasting your time and money here.
