Buying an RX-8 (on Craigslist)
Hello all!
I am looking to buy an RX-8 (The newbie stickie hasn't dissuaded me and I still want to be part of the club) and I saw this one on Craiglist (https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/5978576408.html).
I think the 9500 price tag may be a little steep. What are your thoughts on price and the proclaimed quality of the car?
Also, if anyone is selling a R2/R3 RX8 in the CA (preferrably SoCal) area, please reply/point me to your listing.
Cheers,
S

Price is a little up there. $7500 would be more like it, especially considering it an automatic. I would wait and find a seller that's a little more negotiable on price and one that has a manual transmission.
If you're dead set on that one, look over the paperwork he has and go halves with him on a compression test. Its a must at his firm asking price. Also, research others in your area in similar condition, miles, and equipment to make a better determination on the price you want to pay.
