Can you carry four snow tires on rims in an R3 with one passenger?

It's kind of a weird question I know, but I just need to find out if an RX8 R3 can stow four snow tires with rims (two in the trunk/two in the back seat) while carrying a passenger in the front? I might be buying one, but I need to work out some logistics.

Before I got my tire trailer I transported a set of 245/40-18 race tires mounted to OEM wheels to autocross events in the back seats of my 2005. You and your passenger might feel a little cramped if you're tall and normally have the seats all the way back but it works.

People have been hauling their race tires in the back seat ever since the RX8 came out. I prefered laying them down rather than standing up so they aren’t always trying to roll around

You’ll want to put then in large plastic bags and/or use a blanket as a liner/cover. Some people used these, might depend on the tire OD and width though

DIMPA Storage bag, clear - 25 ½x8 ¾x25 ½ " - IKEA

The large black contractor bags from Home Depot etc. work too

Yep, I just did that a while ago.

Realistically, you can carry 5 wheels on rims if you utilize the trunk as well. The trunk can only hold 1 wheel, though. It's not that big.

Tire places usually have big plastic bags for tires. Make sure you grab those.

Thanks for the help. I think I've given up for the time being on buying an RX8. Either the sellers are pretty flakey (have liens on the cars they are selling, don't allow test drives), they don't want to do a compression test (likely some problem they don't want to reveal so they want to sell to someone who doesn't know anything about these cars), or it's a dealer who doesn't want the hassle of doing so.

Combined with the 14-16 MPG, hazards driving with a rear wheel drive in the winter even with snow tires, high cost of tri-coat paint repair, people who door ding you and key you every where, and potential for engine failure I think it's just too much trouble to deal with for me. I still love the looks and performance specs, but maybe a sports car isn't for me any more. Oh well, what's not meant to be is not meant to be!

I can't speak for everyone, but in the snow, I would MUCH rather drive a RWD sports car with winter tires than anything else. Having done that for the past 10 winters, the only time I've been in trouble was in conditions I easily could have avoided, but didn't because I was looking for a challenge. :]

If you're a first responder or live on a hill or something though, then yeah, I get it.
