Average price is around $3,000.00 (at least) I'd say, it depends who you have do it, what parts are reusable, and how crazy you want to go. There is a place down in south Texas doing them really cheap, it is called OJ's imports and so far the results have been nothing but positive. but the engines are cheap for a reason so don't expect the best quality. If you want reliability then I would suggest a well known builder like Pineapple Racing, Rotary Resurrection, etc.

Pineapple Racing

Rotary Resurrection

OJ Imports

I can probably afford that to some degree. But man I am in the Bay area. I need to find a budget place here or in Michigan which is where my car is. My guess is I can't find a place.
