Car starts but shuts down after 3-4 seconds

Hello, I am new to the forums. I recently purchased a 2007 RX-8. Automatic with 118,000 miles. It has been running great the last few months. But recently i stopped on my drive home and it started right up but then after about 3-4 seconds it shut off. Engine cut out and all electronics in the car shut off. I tried again with the same issue. Had it towed home and have been trying to troubleshoot it for about a week. I did find a crack in the accordion section on the air intake right after the MAF. So i replaced that part, but still have the issue. After some search-fu it seems that vacuum or dirty/bad MAF would be the issue. I replaced the cracked part and cleaned my MAF with MAF cleaner. This however dosent seem to be the issue. Car will start, then complete shut down after 3-4 seconds. Any help would be greatly appricated

If the electronics shut off, it's an electrical problem. Dirty/loose battery terminals, dying battery, etc.

Could be the Baro sensor. Did you try unplugging it?

I will look into that Cayman.
It is just weird, will crank and idle.. 3-4 seconds complete shut down, engine, dash, center console, everything. Can also crank and rev it up then.. 3-4 seconds complete shutdown.
It does have a after market security system but from what i read on it it would not even be able to crank if is tripped. But still am going to try and see if it could be that as well

I have a

I have a question and I hope you guys have answers my RX8 currently is having problems with maintaining power. I did take it to an auto parts store where they had gave me a code which was p0120 which is the manifold absolute pressure sensor.
Here is my question before I replace the part, how would I be secure it is that part and not the maf sensor?

By starting your own thread and not jumping into middle of someone else's troubleshooting

The code is pretty self explanatory, there are other codes for the MAF.

Again electrical issues are the devil..and the aftermarket security system is definitely suspect, even though it does initially start. I would certainly try to disable that, as they are known to cause problems in vehicles, especially as they age.

So i tried disconnecting the Baro Sensor (think it was Baro sensor, when i looked up location it was MAP, fairly certain that is the same thing?)
I also did a factory reset on the security system, issue with it is it is also a keyless push start model, so disabling it is going to be an issue as it is integrated together.
I am at a loss, all the research i have done points to the Air intake/MAF sensor/Vacuum being the issue. But i have looked at all vacuum hoses (no cracks, leaks etc) checked/cleaned the MAF, heck even bought a new MAF just in case but it keeps doing the same thing with either one.
From what i have read, car starts and after a few seconds switches to sensor to regulate and that is what is causing the shutdown but i for the life of me cant figure out what is faulting to cause the shutdown.
